Oxygenetix Oxygenating Hydro-Matrix Moisturiser

This is my first try from the brand Oxygenetix and I love it. Oxygenetix have a range of ground-breaking products that have been primarily designed to cover blemishes, support healing and help minimise or eliminate post-procedure scars. One of their key products is the Oxygenating Foundation which has the patented Ceravitae™ Complex, aloe and seven layer silica gel technology that forms a breathable matrix and helps supports new skin cell production and the healing process following aesthetic procedures or skin problems. In addition to the Oxygenating Complex, the brand also has a number of other products that help cover and improve a wide variety of skin problems. I tried out the Oxygenetix Hydro-Matrix which contains a similar breathable, second-skin formula as Oxygenating Foundation and is said to oxygenate and promote growth of collagen, new skin cells and connective tissue in aging or compromised skin.

Magnesium Rich Body Butter and Lotion from BetterYou

A few weeks ago I received a bundle of products from BetterYou. BetterYou are an innovative natural health company who specialise in supplements - both oral and transdermal. I have reviewed their oral supplement sprays and the transdermal mineral (oil) sprays previously on the blog. Today, I am here with my views on two other products - the Magnesium body lotion and Magnesium body butter.

Celebrate Spring With Crabtree & Evelyn's Rosewater Collection

Spring is here - warmer weather, longer days, flowers blooming (I love the sight of bluebells) and signs of new life everywhere. Everything is so happy and positive. The cheery season has put me in a 'Spring cleaning' mode and in addition to a mini overhaul at home, a beauty spring clean is also underway. Spring is all about floral and relaxing fragrances, I feel. So, I have turned to Crabtree & Evelyn’s classic Rosewater collection which perfectly captures the lush and romantic fragrance of Roses.

Soft and Hydrated Skin with I Love...'s Range of Nourishing Body Butters

Body butters - they are rich, hydrating and creamy and are the perfect feast for dry skin. My love affair with body butters shows no sign of abating. During winters, they are a must in my skincare routine. During the warmer weather I usually tend to replace them with lighter body lotions as my skin doesn't need extra hydration. However this Summer I am reaching out to body butters as my RA medication is making my skin quite dry. I have been trying out body butters from I Love...'s deliciously scented range.

I Love... body butters

I Love... body butters come in five delightful combinations : Strawberries & Cream, Mango & Papaya, Coconut & Cream, Peachy Passionfruit and Raspberry & Blackberry. The body butters contain a blend of naturally nourishing Shea Butter and Coconut Oil and leave the skin soft and hydrated.

The two body butters that I tried out are Mango & Papaya and Coconut & Cream; both perfect for summertime. The fragrances are amazing - fruity, sweet and smell good enough to eat! The Coconut & Cream one especially is very heavenly - just like a Coconut Cream Cake! This is the first time I am trying out body butters from I Love... and considering the budget price (RRP £2.99), I was a little sceptical about the fragrances as fruity scents can sometimes be very synthetic. However I Love... have got the scents down perfectly. The consistency of the body butter is thick but it is very easy to rub in. And it leaves my skin soft and hydrated. I am not sure if this would be enough for my rough, dry skin in winters. But for summers it is perfect - thick yet fluffy and easy to apply with no greasy residue. Works well.

You can pick up I Love...'s delicious range of nourishing body butters from Superdrug stores nationwide. Currently Superdrug have the body butters on offer for £1.48.

Über Body Lotion with Ju Hua, Pomegranate and Yogurtene

Featured today on the blog is a brand that I had not heard of until recently - Über. Über are known for their affordable luxury products across the hair care and skin care range. Über makes use of exotic essences to create naturally derived products that enliven the senses. Some of the active ingredients used in Über products include Frankincense, Japanese hydrolysed silk and Pequi oil.

Über body lotion with Ju Hua, Pomegranate and Yogurtene

The product that I tried out was the Über body lotion with Ju Hua, Pomegranate and Yogurtene. Free from parabens and synthetically produced preservatives, the body lotion comes in a 250ml bottle. If the product was given to me in a blind smell test, I would have said it was some kind of a sweetened yoghurt :) Yes, it smells that delicious. It has a very sweet and fruity fragrance. The texture is how you would expect a body lotion to be and it leaves the skin soft and silky smooth. The body lotion has soothing Almond oil which has a deeply moisturising effect on the skin. But the main benefits are offered by the three active ingredients in the body lotion:
  • Ju Hua : The essential oils from the Ju Hua flower(Chinese Chrysanthemum) are thought to reduce swelling and inflammation thereby soothing and nourishing the skin. It also promotes new cell growth.
  • Pomegranate : It has good anti-oxidant properties, is rich in Vitamin C and Folic acid and helps improve skin elasticity.
  • Yogurtene : This is a Milk serum that soothes, calms and moisturises. Yogurtene is said to help balance the skins natural pH and stimulate collagen production.
Priced at £12.00 for 250ml, the body lotion in my opinion is best suited for normal to moderately dry skin. You can check out the Über range here: www.uberproducts.com

Dove Winter Care Moisturising Lotion and Cream, Review

Low temperatures, heating on, dry air and windy weather - all suck out moisture from the skin causing dry and flaky skin. For some people the changes are not so noticeable, but if you are like me then the cold weather takes a toll on the skin. In any case, regardless of your skin type, you need to give your skin some extra nurturing during winters to keep it healthy and looking radiant.

Two products from Dove's Limited Edition Winter Care range have been helping me and my skin in my battle against the winter weather. The products are Winter Care Cream and the Winter Care Nourishing Lotion for Dry Skin.

Dove's Limited Edition Winter Care range

Dove's Limited Edition Winter Care range

Dove's Limited Edition Winter Care range

Let me being with the Winter Care Cream. It comes in a 150ml tub and has a lovely, mild floral fragrance. The cream is very thick(but is not greasy) and you need just a little of the product to hydrate the skin. I use it as a night cream and wake up to smooth, soft skin. The Winter Care Cream is priced at £3.29/150ml and I think the tub in all probability will last through the entire winter.

The Nourishing Lotion is not as heavy/thick as the cream but offers good moisturisation nonetheless. In cold weather I keep my showers as brief as possible and after patting my skin dry, I immediately apply this lotion while the skin is still a bit damp. The lotion gets absorbed quickly and doesn't leave my skin greasy or sticky. Skin stays soft and supple for a long time.

To sum it up, both the products have a rich hydrating formula, are dermatologically tested, give the intensive care you need for the cold season and are excellent affordable winter skincare products.  You can pick them up from Boots.

Have you tried either of these products from Dove? What's your favourite winter cream/lotion?

Grahams Natural Sooth-It Balm, Review

Do you suffer from dry or irritated skin?

Then todays post is for you! Grahams Natural, who are relatively new to the UK, are Australia’s best-selling natural skincare range of top-to-toe treatments for eczema and other sensitive skin conditions. Their product range includes products to treat mild sensitive skin as well as more severe eczema and psoriasis flare-ups. The products contains innovative natural ingredients and plant lipids, including emu oil, manuka honey and colloidal oatmeal to intensely nourish and help repair the skin’s protective barrier.

I have been using one of their star products, the Sooth-It Balm, over the past one week. The balm is said to be an intensely hydrating and soothing ointment, perfect for cracked and parched skin on the hands and feet.

Grahams Natural Sooth-It Balm

My skin is usually normal-dry but in winters it borders from dry-very dry. The most affected parts are my legs which become very dry and flaky. Indoor heating aggravates the problem and I have to fight the urge to itch - as itching can give my legs a cracked appearance. Thankfully I do not have any redness or peeling skin issues. To combat this extreme dry skin problem, I make some changes in winters. I avoid long hot baths and showers even though I absolutely love that. I try to keep up my water intake even if I do not feel thirsty and most importantly I moisturise a lot.

Grahams Natural Sooth-It Balm

Light moisturisers that I use in summers obviously do not help much, so in winters I always switch to intensely hydrating products. And the Grahams Natural Sooth-It Balm definitely falls in the latter category. It is a soothing balm that also has a protective effect and is perfectly suited for cracked and/or dry, rough skin. The balm, as you can see from the pictures, comes in a tube and has a creamy(but not runny) texture. It is softer than other balms I have tried and easy to apply. It melts beautifully when you rub it between the fingers and gets absorbed nicely as well. There is no discernible fragrance except for a very mild natural scent; I think it is the scent of the natural oils present in the balm. Excellent at moisturising the balm also relieves itching and redness as well. Within a few days of regular use, the flakiness and itching on my legs has reduced. I feel the balm would work nicely for those with more severe skin conditions like eczema as well.

Grahams Natural Sooth-It Balm

Grahams Natural Sooth-It Balm

Key ingredients in the Sooth-It Balm
  • Safflower Seed Oil: has soothing and antioxidant properties to treat damaged and inflamed skin.
  • Grapeseed Oil : rich in antioxidants,  anti-inflammatory, regulates and maintains healthy skin, non-comedogenic,  helps calm psoriasis and eczema.
  • Vitamin E : can reduce UV-induced skin swelling and encourages the skin cells to regenerate.
  • Linseed Oil : high in omega-3 fatty acids it can help restoring skin health.
Final word: The Sooth-It Balm has worked nicely for me and I would recommend it if you have very dry skin. Priced at £17.99 for a 120g tube, the Grahams Natural Sooth-It Balm can be picked up online at www.grahamsskincare.co.uk

The Ted Baker Regency Collection

It's getting closer and closer to Christmas. Have you completed your shopping? If yes, then well done. If you are still looking for stocking fillers then I have a product that fits the bill perfectly. Ted Baker has an indulgent range of body washes and body lotions that feature the quintessentially English Regency House design. Available in three stunning fragrance collections, I feel, these would make excellent stocking fillers.

The three fragrance collections are:
  • No 1 Bridlesmith Gate & No 1 Langley Court - an inviting blend of raspberry, lychee and jasmine petals.
  • No 2 Regents Square & Upperbrook Mews - a luxurious mix of freesia, peach and amber.
  • No 3 Furburts Place & Brompton Crescent - a beautiful blend of lemon, jasmine and amber crystal.
Ted Baker Regency Romance Body Lotion Collection

Ted Baker Regency Romance Body Lotion Collection

Ted Baker Regency Romance Body Lotion Collection

I was sent two body lotions from this range to try out. First up, I liked the packaging. The Ted Baker Regency House print features on all the boxes; each of which has a bright pastel shade. The print has a lovely romantic charm and a very 'vintage-y' appeal to it. When you open the box, a cute little French Bulldog stares back at you(the inside of the boxes has a bulldog design). The bottle comes with a pump dispenser making it easy to dispense the lotion. The lotion has a light-weight texture and while it does moisturise the skin, it may not be perfect for those with extremely dry skin. The lotion does leave the skin soft though. The fragrances are definitely the key point after the packaging. 'No 1 Langley Court' in my opinion is a delicate, fruity-floral fragrance whereas 'No 2 Upperbrook Mews' is a sweet, floral scent. Both the scents are wonderfully fragranced and subtle.

The Ted Baker Regency collection is available from selected Boots stores nationwide and even online at www.boots.com.

The Whole She-Balm Argan Balm from Argania

Most of us would have already made some changes in our skin-care regime to tackle the dry and cold weather that is setting in. I have switched to skincare products that are intensively moisturising as my skin tends to become much drier than it normally is. One such product that I am currently using and loving is the Whole She-Balm Argan Balm from Argania. Argania recently launched its premium, spa-quality, skincare products that use 100% certified organic Argan oil. The product range is said to harness the natural power of cold-pressed, organic Argan oil from Morocco to nourish, replenish and restore the natural beauty of your skin.

The Whole She-Balm Argan Balm from Argania
The Whole She-Balm Argan Balm 50ml - £12.99

Argania fuses the organic, cold-pressed Moroccan Argan oil with other essential oils like Jojoba, Sweet Almond and Evening Primrose oils. All these essential oils work alongside each other and produce the desirable revived and nourished skin the Argania range is well known for. The products also use rare plant sterols(which have a powerful anti-inflammatory effect) and fatty acids including omega-6 to help prevent moisture loss and improve skin tone.

The Whole She-Balm Argan Balm from Argania

The Whole She-Balm Argan Balm from Argania

The Whole She-Balm Argan Balm comes in a 50ml pot and is a multi-purpose product that can be used for the whole body. Whether it is chapped lips, dry skin or rough cuticles, the balm works well in all cases. It is just over a week since I started using this balm and it has nourished my hands beautifully. I can see a difference in the skin's texture especially on my fingers - which always used to be dry and wrinkly. My dry hands are looking smoother and moisturised since I started using this balm. It is definitely a very nourishing formula and I recommend it if you have dry skin issues like me.

The balm's texture is lovely. Melt a little between your fingers and it turns into silky oil. Easy to apply and gets absorbed into the skin nicely as well. And did I mention how heavenly it smells? I love the delicate sweet fragrance - it's mildly sweet and very natural. Nothing synthetic about it. And the fragrance lingers on for quite some time. Overall, I have become a fan of this multi-purpose balm and will continue using it.

It is also good to know that Argania’s skin care products are free from parabens, sodium lauryl sulphate, artificial colours, mineral oils and EDTA.

The other two products in the Argania skin care range are:
- Argania Pure 100% Certified Organic Oil 20ml - £12.99
- Argania Body Brilliance Dry Oil 125ml - £11
And you can purchase the products online at www.lovelula.com.

Aromatherapy Associates Soothing Daily Repair Moisturiser

Aromatherapy Associates have a range of skincare products called the 'Soothing Collection' which consists of six products that aim to soothe and calm the skin, keeping it radiant. The Soothing Collection incorporates prebiotics which is said to encourage healthy bacteria on the skin’s surface and get rid of bad bacteria that can cause itching, redness or other skin irritations. Apart from prebiotics the collection also uses anti-inflammatory active ingredients like arnica, liquorice, cotton thistle and cactus to support the skins natural regeneration process. The range includes: soothing cleansing balm, soothing treatment mask, soothing skin tonic, instant skin soothing serum, soothing face oil and the soothing daily repair moisturiser, which is the product I tried out.

According to Aromatherapy Associates the soothing daily repair moisturiser is "a highly nourishing and protective moisturiser to improve the appearance of dry and stressed skin. Safflower ceramides and vital omega oils, combined with cotton thistle extract and German camomile, work to support the skin’s natural regenerative process and gently maintain your skin’s natural radiance leaving it soft, supple and comfortable. Perfect for sensitive skins with a tendency to redness."

The moisturiser, as you can see, comes in a pump action bottle. This would imply that the moisturiser has a light texture. But when I used it, I was surprised by its creamy texture. It was not runny like I had imagined it would be. The moisturiser did feel a little bit greasy upon application, but it was a temporary feeling as it got absorbed into the skin very quickly. It has a mild herbal scent. Though I could not pinpoint the exact fragrance, it is how natural essential oils smell - a very natural earthy fragrance.

The moisturiser is said to calm and soothe irritated skin. But even then I was a bit sceptical when I first started using it as my skin is very 'moody' and easily agitated. My main concern was what if the moisturiser aggravated my skin irritation and redness instead of soothing it. However the moisturiser put all my worries to rest as it worked like a charm on my sensitive skin. My skin loves the texture and the moisturising effect of the product. The main difference I have noticed is around my nose. The skin was irritated and dry but having used the soothing moisturiser for the past few weeks, this area has come back to its normal state - no redness, no dryness. I like the moisturiser - it is nourishing and does calm redness as it claims.

Price at £53.00 for 50ml, the moisturiser is definitely not the cheapest one out there, but you need just one pump of the product to cover your entire face. This means the bottle will last a long time. I have been using it for around 4 weeks and I still have loads left in the bottle. Worth the price, if you have sensitive, irritated or over reactive skin.

Sounds like a product that would suit your skin? You can pick it up online from the Aromatherapy Associates website.

Have you used anything from Aromatherapy Associates? Which Aromatherapy Associates product would you recommend?

Beauty on a Budget

Poundland is on the top of my list when it comes to home cleaning products, however when I am in one of their shops I always have a 'not-so-quick' browse through their skincare/makeup sections. I have regularly picked up some fantastic bargains from their nail varnish section. Poundland recently launched a new health & beauty range called Squeeky Clean which has everything from face scrub to shower detox, body lotion to nail cream and face mask to instant tan. I have been trying out a couple of products from this range over the past few weeks. So how did these budget buys fare? Read on to know more.

First up, I liked the packaging - pink coloured, lovely retro style. It does look somewhat similar to another brand ;-) but I liked it nonetheless. With the cold weather approaching, two products that would get used up pretty quickly are body lotion and nail cream, so that was the reason I decided to pick these 2 products. The body lotion smells pleasant(it has a sweet fruity fragrance) and moisturises well, leaving the skin touchably soft. Because it is such a large tube, it will definitely last long. The nail and cuticle cream is slightly thicker in consistency than the body lotion, has the same fragrance and is highly moisturising. It definitely helps to care for the cuticles and intensely moisturises the hands. Both these products get absorbed well without leaving any residue or greasiness behind. For a budget product both perform well and so get full points from me :)

Available exclusively at Poundland the products in the Squeeky Clean range are priced at £1 each.

Have you tried the Poundland Squeeky Clean range? If so, which product is your favourite. Do let me know in the comments below.

Calming Body Lotion from Botanicals Natural Organic Skincare

Today I feature on the blog a product that I have been reaching out a lot to in the past week. It is a brand that I am trying out for the first time and one that I have fallen in love with. The product I am talking about is the Botanicals Calming Body Lotion. Botanicals Natural Organic Skincare, founded in 2004 by organic skincare innovator - Wendy Stirling, provides a range of personal care products which are as close to nature as possible. Winner of multiple beauty awards, the range is suitable for vegans, does not test on animals and is one of the handful of body care companies that has its entire range licensed by the Soil Association.

Botanicals Calming Body Lotion

All of Botanicals products are free from:
- petrochemicals, sodium lauryl/laureth sulphate and propylene glycol,
- artificial colours, fragrances or preservatives,
- phthalates,
- parabens and
- genetically-modified and animal-derived ingredients.

When I received the Botanicals Calming Body Lotion, I was immediately drawn to the packaging. It goes so well with their brand ethos. The lotion as you must have guessed from the name is a calming lotion - it is said to help soothe and calm the skin after shaving, waxing or the use of depilatory products. While I haven't put it to use after hair removal, I find that it works equally well to moisturise and soothe sensitive or dry skin. With essential extracts of calming marigold and aloe-vera blended with soothing lavender and antiseptic tea tree, this pure and natural body treatment is perfect for daily use to soothe irritated skin.

First pump of the lotion and I knew my skin was going to love this. The lotion has 'the perfect' texture and gets absorbed nicely. It leaves the skin hydrated and smooth. And the fragrance is gorgeous - natural and fresh. The best part is that it is suitable for all skin types, even sensitive skin as I mentioned earlier. This means that I was able to use it even when my skin was a bit irritated the past weekend. It worked well - moisturised the skin without aggravating the condition. If you have sensitive skin or dry skin conditions like Eczema, then I think this lotion will work well for you. Priced at £14.75 for 100ml, the lotion can be picked up online on the Botanicals website.

So, what do you think of this lotion? Have you tried it? Would you try it?

Simply Beautiful Collections(SBC) - Vitamin ACE Day & Night Cream

Simply Beautiful Collections(SBC) is a well known professional skincare brand in the UK. All their products use unadulterated plant extracts and adhere to a high quality. You must have heard of their range of prescriptive aqua gels. They are quite popular. I became aware of the brand a while back but had never actually tried anything from their range earlier. So, when I recently got the opportunity to try one of their brand new offerings, I was all up for it. The product I am talking about today is the SBC Vitamin ACE Day & Night Cream.

The SBC Vitamin ACE Day & Night Cream contains a combination of Mediterranean extracts, Tomato Seed Oil, Olive Oil, Fennel Oil and as is obvious from its name Vitamins A, C and E. The 3 vitamins offer a range of benefits:
Vitamin A - Cell regenerating, anti-ageing, moisturising
Vitamin C - Brightening, lightening, strengthening, anti-ageing
Vitamin E - Anti-oxidant, nourishing, repairing

As seen in the pictures, the cream comes in a 100ml jar with a screw-top lid. The cream is white in colour and contains these lovely, tiny bright pink spheres which give the cream a pale pinkish hue. These pink spheres contains Oxysomes which use the latest technology in advanced delivery systems. The Oxysomes encapsulate brightening Vitamin C and refining Vitamin E and help to moisturise and brighten dry/dull skin. According to SBC, a normal topical application of a Vitamin C based product can take up to six  hours to penetrate the skin effectively. However with these Oxysomes the delivery of Vitamin C happens within the first hour and the bio availability increases by 85%. What this means is your skin derives the benefits of the key ingredients quicker and for a longer duration; thereby making the topical application more effective.

The cream is rich and luxurious but sinks easily into the skin and gets absorbed like a dream. The tiny pink spheres disappear completely once you massage the cream in . Upon application the cream leaves the skin soft and smooth and very nicely moisturised. The fragrance is amazing - very fresh and delicate - you can relate it to the sweetness of Summer. It's sweet but not overpowering. The cream has been working well for my maturing skin. It has not caused any breakouts and I feel it kind of evens out my facial skin tone. My skin feels happy with the hydration and benefits this cream offers. I have used it both as a day cream and as a night cream and while it worked well in both instances, I love it more as a part of my night-time skincare routine. I always wake up with smooth and supple skin when I have used this cream the night before. If you have ageing, dull or dry skin, then I feel this cream will work well for you.

Priced at £29.00 for a 100ml jar, the SBC Vitamin ACE Day & Night Cream can be picked up from http://www.sbcgels.co.uk/. The website offers standard UK delivery free of charge. Do check out their range of products.

Have you tried the Vitamin ACE Cream or anything else from the Simply Beautiful Collections(SBC)?

ARK Age Aware Discovery Collection - Age Maintain

ARK Skincare is a brand that bases their product range on skin age rather than skin type. ARK have divided their product range into 3 'age appropriate' categories based on the ageing process. First up is 'Age Prepare' which is meant for teens to those in their early 30s. Second is 'Age Maintain' which targets the age group from mid 30s to 50. And finally we have 'Age Repair' which is for those who are 50 and beyond. I recently got the opportunity to test the 'Age Maintain' range and I am here today with my views on the same.

During the 30s our skin begins to show sings of ageing. Fine lines and wrinkles make their presence felt and some even develop skin sensitivity. This could be due to changes taking place within the body or external environmental factors. The products in the 'Age Maintain' range have been designed specifically for the 30-50 age group targeting skin concerns that women in this age group face.

The Age Aware Discovery Collection - Age Maintain is priced at £29.00 and includes:
1 x 30ml Masque,
1 x 30ml Cleanser,
1 x 30ml Exfoliator and
1 x 30ml Moisturiser

Masque: The masque needs to be applied as a thin layer on cleansed face and neck. You can leave it on for 10-15 minutes and then rinse it off with warm water. I had carried this travel set when I recently travelled to Scotland. This masque was a treat for my skin after the tiring journey from London to Prestwick. Travelling takes a toll on my skin - makes it dull and prone to redness. After leaving this mask on for 15 minutes when I rinsed it off, my skin felt marvellous. One of the key ingredients in the masque is Boerhavia Diffusa, a calming Ayurvedic herb, which reduces sensitivity and redness. I think this helped soothe my skin.

Cleanser: This one is a non-foaming, gel kind of a cleaner. It has a very mild fragrance and cleanses well. It is very gentle on the skin and did not cause any breakouts. It worked well for me even when my skin was in a 'sensitive' phase.

Moisturiser: The moisturiser contains Vitamin A to help keep the skin plump. It also includes Kiwi and Passion Fruit lipids which are said to boost the skin’s moisture levels. Co-enzyme Q10 and natural moisturising agents like Shea Butter and Olive Oil make the moisturiser a little on the 'richer' side. It feels light and application is easy; but it is a little too rich for my skin. It does not leave any greasiness upon application, but I can feel that it is very hydrating. So, I have been using this one sparingly. Just a little is enough to cover my face and neck.

Exfoliator: One of the gentlest exfoliators I have ever used, this product even though is granule-free, is good at removing dead skin cells. You need to apply it evenly on your face and neck. Let it dry for 5-10 minutes, then you can rinse it off with warm water. The exfoliator has multi-fruit acids that gently remove rough, dead skin cells revealing fresh looking skin. Mr.H, who is prone to facial acne, tried this and loved it so much that he flicked the tube for himself :) It does not irritate his acne prone skin, so I happily let him have the tube.

To sum it up, I love this range of products from ARK Skincare. All the products are very gentle on the skin. The scent is mild and fresh - I love it. The product packaging is simple and the key thing is that all the 4 products worked well for my maturing skin but my favourite would be the cleanser :) You can check out the ARK range here: www.arkskincare.com

Yardley London : Hydrating and Enriching Body Lotions from the Floral Bath and Body Range

Yardley London is one of the oldest perfume and toiletry company in the world. The company was founded in 1770 and their products have a classic and timeless appeal. Many assume that the products from the brand cater to the older/mature age group. This could be due to the traditional and classic design and branding of their products. However things have now changed. Yardley London recently underwent a rebranding and launched some new products in a fresh new design. A part of the new campaign is the Yardley London Floral Bath and Body range. And today I bring to you on the blog the hydrating and enriching body lotions from this new range. But before I talk about the body lotions, just take a look at the packaging. Isn't it lovely? It is very different from the traditional Yardley London branding and the neon colours are so striking. I also liked the ergonomic shape of these bottles.

The Floral Bath and Body range features 3 scents:
- Uplifting Daisy
- Energising Peony
- Invigorating Blue Orchid

As per Yardley London the 3 fragrances are described as below:
Peony : a modern, fruity floral with top notes of fresh green leaves. It is complemented at its heart by a combination of peony flower, red currant, geranium and heliotrope and undertones of warm amber.
Daisy : An elegant, dewy fresh green floral with top notes of fresh green leaves and apple. A combination of hyacinth and white rose at its heart and warm base notes of sandalwood and musk
Blue Orchid : Opens with a mix of fresh juicy fruits - mango, orange and redcurrant with a floral, sensual heart blending water lily, bluebell and vanilla orchid. The warm woody base notes are cedar woods, mahogany and tonka bean.

All the scents are amazing but I loved 'Energising Peony' the most. What an absolutely delightful floral fragrance! And it smells so fresh and real. Love it.

The body lotions have a light and silky texture and get absorbed easily into the skin. Skin is left smooth and supple and the fragrance lingers on for a few hours albeit not as strong as when it was applied initially. The moisturising effects of the lotions can be attributed to the presence of a rich blend of Q10, Vitamin E, Sweet Almond Oil and Shea Butter. Grape Seed Oil is also present in all the lotions.

Overall, I really liked this new range from Yardley London - all the 3 fragrances are lovely. Like fresh flowers - a delicate and sweet fragrance that lingers on the skin for quite some time. Hydrating and moisturising - all the body lotions are priced at £3.99 for 250ml which is such a good bargain considering the quality of the product. Each of these fragrances also includes a body wash and a hand cream making it perfect for layering. You can check out the entire range here.

What do you think of Yardley London's rebranding and this Floral Bath and Body range? Have you tried it? Are you tempted to try it?
