Restora Protein Treatment for Heat-Damaged, Dry Hair

While I don't colour my hair, I do heat style a lot as my hair is wavy, frizzy and very untameable. A hair straightener is needed to help tame it. I understand the damage that heat does to hair, so I ensure that I minimise the damage to hair by protecting it before I style. Hair oil, hair masques and heat protectant sprays are some of the products I use normally use.

Early in September I was sent the Restora™ Protein Treatment - which is an innovative three-step hair treatment for damaged hair. Today, I will share my views on the same.

Pantene Expert Collection : Hydra Intensify Shampoo and Conditioner Review

I have been trialling a couple of products from Pantene's Hydra Intensify range which is a collection that treats visible signs of dehydrated hair. The range targets roughness, frizz, dullness and brittleness by sealing hydration in. I tried the Hydra Intensify Shampoo and Conditioner and loved them both.

Aquis Chevron Luxe Hair Towel

Do you have frizzy hair that also needs to be washed very frequently? I do. And I do not enjoy the frequent washing as it makes my hair frizzier. But there is no escape as infrequent washing makes my hair oily and the scalp irritated. Drying the hair is another pet peeve of mine. I prefer to dry it naturally (almost 90-95%) before using blow-dry. I usually use ordinary cotton towels for drying my hair but recently have been trying out the Aquis Chevron Luxe towel.

CO by Andrew Collinge – Light Smoothing Argan Oil

I have thin, dry and frizz-prone hair. Unless straightened they tend to go wavy especially in damp weather. I usually opt for Brazilian Keratin treatment which removes most of the frizz and then I use the straightening iron at home to keep my hair manageable. I need to condition my hair frequently as it needs that extra bit of care. The hair treatments and styling do take their toll. So, when the CO Light Smoothing Argan Oil landed on my desk, I couldn't wait to try it.

CO by Andrew Collinge is a range of styling products that you can use to control and style your hair. The Light Smoothing Argan Oil (£15.00, 115ml) is one of the products from this range and it assists with quick and easy blow drying as well as conditioning and adding shine to hair.

In the last couple of months I have made some changes to my hair care routine and these seem to be helping. So, I thought I would share what I have been doing.

InstaNatural's Argan Oil Hair Mask and Argan Oil Hair Treatment & Elixir

I have reviewed a few products from InstaNatural earlier on the blog. Their Moroccan Rose Water is one of the best rose waters I have ever used. Recently I had the opportunity to try out two products from their hair care range - Argan Oil Hair Mask and Argan Oil Hair Treatment and Elixir. Argan Oil - sounds interesting, right? It is often referred to as the "Queen of Beauty Oils" by many.

Before I move onto the two products, here is a little bit of information about InstaNatural. They are a leading online distributor of a range of nature-inspired beauty and cosmetic products. Their products are produced in small batches and packaged in FDA-certified facilities in the USA. You can purchase their products from Amazon UK.

Hair Care with Khadi Natural Products

Hair Care with Khadi Natural Products

The Khadi natural hair care range was launched a while back across the UK and Ireland. Made with natural ingredients and blended according to the ancient principles of Ayurveda, the range includes five shampoos each developed to help overcome specific hair problems. The five shampoos are:
  • Khadi Rose Hair Repair Shampoo : For dry and damaged hair
  • Khadi Amla Ayurvedic Shampoo : For all hair types
  • Khadi Nutgrass Ayurvedic Shampoo : For normal to oily hair
  • Khadi Neem Ayurvedic Shampoo : For dandruff
  • Khadi Hibiscus Ayurvedic Shampoo : For sensitive scalp
We have been trialling the Nutgrass shampoo for some time now. It is targeted at normal to oily hair and so both myself and Mr.H put it to test. The shampoo has a texture unlike the regular shampoos that most of us use. It is somewhat runny and has a lovely, mildly citrusy fragrance. You wet your hair and scalp, apply the shampoo to the scalp and gently massage it. Rinse the shampoo off and reapply this time to the length of your hair.

Hair Care with Khadi Natural Products

As per Khadi, the three key ingredients in this shampoo are:
  • Nutgrass which cleanses hair follicles with its balancing action on the sebaceous glands.
  • Tree Turmeric which helps cleanse and purify the scalp preventing infections due to oily scalp.
  • Khadira which cleanses hair follicles and regulates sebum production.
Because the shampoo is SLS free, it doesn't foam as a regular shampoo (with SLS) does. If you like rich lather when you are washing your hair, then this shampoo is not for you. But if have an irritated scalp or an allergy to SLS or you simply want a natural product that is vegan and free from SLS, peroxide, ammonia, preservatives and artificial colours or dyes; then this shampoo (and the others from Khadi) is for you. It takes some time to get used to washing with an SLS free shampoo but the results are wonderful. This Nutgrass shampoo helps to regulate sebum production, thereby normalising oily scalps. It makes the hair soft and manageable. If you have scalp irritation due to excess oil, even that problem is taken care of. But the key point to remember is to use very little of the product as 'less is more' in case of SLS free shampoos.

If you are looking for a gentle and effective hair wash, then you can try the Khadi Nutgrass shampoo (210ml, £11.90). It is available to purchase from Pravera.

Leo Bancroft Ultimately Intense Moisture Mask for Damaged Hair

If your hair is in the need of some TLC then I have just the right product for you - the Leo Bancroft Ultimately Intense Moisture Mask. This deep moisture hair mask by the award-winning stylist, Leo Bancroft is perfect for damaged or distressed hair.

Leo Bancroft Ultimately Intense Moisture Mask for Damaged Hair

Being used to seeing hair masks in tub packaging for as long as I can remember, it was such a pleasure see this hair mask in a tube packaging. Easy to use and perfect to carry while travelling - the mask has a lovely, delicate, feminine scent and the right texture. It is not overly thick and not too runny either. Glides out of the tube like a dream and is very easy to apply. I love how the mask leaves my hair soft and silky. And it is much easier to style my hair post using this hair mask. And Leo even has an excellent tip to get the most out of this hair mask.
Leo's Tip : "Try this bliss-out treat. Once applied, cover hair with a shower cap and blast with a hair dryer for super-silky results."
I love it when I come across products that are reasonably priced and preform well and this hair mask falls in that category. The mask is priced at £4.00 for 150ml and available at Tesco. I think this is a great price for a product that offers excellent results. I am impressed with the packaging and the results. Do give it a try if you are looking for a mask that targets dry and damaged hair.

SuperfoodLx Cosmeceuticals : INTELLIGENCE Advanced Hair Nutrient Complex, Review

The right hair mask will keep your mane in excellent condition restoring moisture that has been lost due to heat styling, sun, cold weather or due to environmental pollution. There are hair masks targeted at different conditions like colour-damaged hair, heat-ravaged hair and naturally frizzy hair to name a few. I like trying out new products and it is due to this trial and error journey that I have found some products that work very well for me and have become trusted regulars in my hair care regime. Today I bring to you a brand that is very new to me. This is the first time I had heard of them and used one of their products. The brand is SuperfoodLx Cosmeceuticals.

SuperfoodLx is an advanced cosmeceutical brand. Their products are formulated using different nutrient dense botanicals and whole-food complexes which means that all of their products are packed with high levels of health-giving phyto-nutrients. I have been using the INTELLIGENCE Advanced Hair Nutrient Complex from this brand and will share my views on the same.

Superfood Lx INTELLIGENCE Advanced Hair Nutrient Complex

I begin with the packaging and my first impressions. The hair mask is presented in a beautiful amber glass bottle and looks so very luxurious. The complete ingredients list is printed on the bottle and as you read through it, you know that this is a luxurious natural hair care product. The mask has a delicate Ylang Ylang fragrance. It also contains organic Coconut perfume but I was not able to discern this scent much. Overall, the scent is lovely - natural and pleasant. The texture is very creamy and a little thicker than most masks I have used. The main difference I noticed was when I used it. The mask almost got absorbed into the hair when I applied it on wet, shampooed hair. It was like my hair had gobbled up all the mask. With my usual hair masks, I can feel the mask on my hair like it has coated the hair. But this one felt like it was absorbed inside. When I washed off the mask, there was not much product left to rinse off.

Superfood Lx INTELLIGENCE Advanced Hair Nutrient Complex

Superfood Lx INTELLIGENCE Advanced Hair Nutrient Complex

Superfood Lx INTELLIGENCE Advanced Hair Nutrient Complex

There are two ways to use the mask - you either apply the mask sparingly to the length of clean, damp hair and rinse after 3-5 minutes or you apply INTELLIGENCE for 30-60 minutes or leave in overnight for deep conditioning. Moving onto how it worked for me - when I rinsed it off after 3-5 minutes as I do normally with hair masks, it did not show much change in my hair condition. Yes, it did offer some smoothness but not what I had expected. So, the next time I used it the other way. I left it for an hour and then washed it off. This time the results were much better. My hair was soft, smooth and felt hydrated. The frizz also seemed to be better under control. I liked it and as a bonus my hair smelt amazing - exotic and lovely.

Active ingredients
  • Grapeseed Oil - Rich in antioxidants and Vitamins A, B and E
  • Shea Butter - Provides long lasting glossy shine
  • Starflower Oil - Restores hairs natural vitality
  • Squalene - Protects hair and scalp from free-radical damage
  • Apricot Kernel Oil - Soothes and nourishes dry and sensitive scalps
Priced at £21.00 for 177ml, the mask does seem expensive but considering the natural goodness it offers this would make a good buy if you have neglected your locks and want to get it back to being healthy. INTELLIGENCE Advanced Hair Nutrient Complex can be purchased online at www.superfoodlx.com

Sizing up the Sample : milk_shake Active Milk Mask and Incredible Milk

milk_shake is a salon professional hair care brand. They have a complete range of hair care products(shampoo, conditioner, intensive hair treatments and hair styling products) that are made with a mix of ingredients including milk protein that is said to be heavenly food for your hair! Today's post is a quick review of two samples from this brand that I recently tried out - milk_shake Active Milk Mask and Incredible Milk.

milk_shake Active Milk Mask and Incredible Milk.

milk_shake Active Milk Mask is a restructuring milk mask for dry or damaged hair. It contains natural milk proteins, vitamins, rice and avocado oils and claims to moisturize and add a natural shine to hair. My hair is a little longer than shoulder length and dry/damaged; the roots tend to be a greasy though. I used this milk mask after washing my hair with my regular shampoo. It has a thick(not overly thick) texture and delicate sweet scent - like sweetened milk cream or condensed milk :) Easy to apply and wash off as well, the mask left my hair smooth and soft. Loved the silky feeling which lasted for a couple of days.

I used Incredible Milk on another occasion. This one is an intense leave-in spray mask treatment that has 12 actions on the hair! Yes, it claims to do a whole lot of things including protecting from heat, detangling, creating body and volume, controlling frizz and preventing split ends among other things. This one had a runny texture compared to the milk mask. The full sized product comes in a spray bottle which would be easier to apply. The sample was in a sachet and I found the application a bit messy. The spray has a sweet, milky vanilla fragrance like the milk mask and did leave my hair soft and smooth even if the application was difficult. I cannot comment on certain aspects like preventing split ends etc., but full marks for leaving my hair smooth and frizz-free.

Overall, both the products would work well for those with dry hair. I liked the milk mask a lot, so would purchase that. What do you think of these 2 products?  Have you tried these or any other products from milk_shake hair care range?

The Satinique Revitalizing Mask from Amway : Review

I am absolutely smitten with the Amway Satinique Revitalizing Mask right now. I can see it becoming one of my all-time favourite hair masks. I have used this mask after shampooing my hair with the Klorane Anti-Irritant Shampoo, the Carino Herbals Hydrating Shampoo for dry/damaged hair and many other shampoos, and my hair always feels 'oh-so-soft' with this mask treatment.

According to Amway, "The Satinique Revitalizing Mask is a fortifying treatment to repair and deep condition before styling. It works deep within the hair, while strengthening and protecting each hair strand."  The mask contains ENERJUVE™ to restore hair to its natural, healthy-looking state plus the botanicals Grape Seed extract and Kukui Seed Oil.  The treatment mask also deeply conditions colour-treated hair without fading the colour itself. While I do not have colour-treated hair, my hair is definitely damaged and distressed and so I always try to give a little more TLC to my hair.

This revitalizing hair mask fits my requirements perfectly. I have used it many times since receiving it and it offers deep conditioning treatment every time I use it. After shampooing(I skip the conditioner when using this mask) I apply and distribute the mask throughout my hair. I then leave it on for around 5 minutes while the special blend of Vitamin E, Grape Seed Extract and Kukui Seed Oil works its magic on my hair. Not only does the mask leave my hair soft, smooth and strong but also smelling great. I love it. It is so much easier and hassle-free to style my hair now. Plus knowing that my hair is being taken care of and protected is a big relief. The mask not only mends existing hair damage but is also said to help protect hair from future damage. What more could I ask for in a hair mask?

If you have colour-treated or damaged hair and are looking for a fortifying treatment to repair and deep condition your hair before styling, then the Satinique Revitalizing Mask is for you. I cannot recommend it enough. Priced at £22.25 for a 240ml tub, you can pick up the Satinique Revitalizing Mask online at www.amway.co.uk

So, what are your favourite hair care products? Do you have any hair mask recommendations?

The Braun Satin-Hair 7 Brush with IONTEC

My hair is naturally wavy which tends to go frizzy most of the time. The frizzy fly-aways can be difficult to tame and that is why I had my hair straightened using Brazilian Keratin treatment thrice within the last one and half years. The effect lasts for barely a couple of months and then my hair is back to it's frizzy state. I am currently going slow on the straightening treatments and also on heat styling at home as it is drying out my hair. I am solely relying on conditioners, natural hair oils and anti-frizz creams to manage my hair. So, when I received the Braun Satin-Hair 7 Brush, I was excited to say the least. This product couldn't have come at a better time. Why? Read on to know more.

Braun Satin-Hair 7 Brush with IONTEC
RRP: £21.99, Stockist: Amazon

The Braun Satin-Hair 7 brush is a revolutionary innovation in the world of hair care. According to Braun, "The brush works by delivering ions through a uniquely designed jet within the brush’s central core. At the push of a button, it releases charged particles from the central delivery system straight onto the hair, instantly helping to smooth minimise frizz and static and significantly boosting shine and restoring smoothness."

Like I mentioned earlier, the Braun Satin-Hair 7 brush uses the IONTEC technology. If you are interested in reading more about the science behind this technology, or want to find out how IONTEC delivers smooth and shiny hairstyling results or the reason why Braun IONTEC is superior to other ionic hairstyling products, then you can do so here.

Key features of the Braun Satin-Hair 7 brush:
  • Removable cushion pad - The hair brush has an extra soft cushion pad to enable gentle brushing. Because the pad is removable it is also easy to clean.
  • Seamless bristle technology - This feature ensures that the brush glides gently through the hair without damaging it.
  • Automatic switch off - An useful function to prevent the brush from accidentally being switched on when carried in a handbag.
Seamless bristle technology

Removable cushion pad

Automatic switch off

My experience

The Braun Satin-Hair 7 brush is easy to use. The brush has a battery compartment into which go the two batteries that come in the pack. And then just slide up the on/off switch and brush your hair like you would with any regular hair brush. There is no vibration or heat and neither is there any discernible noise. All that is different is the green glow from the brush and the end result. The brush does fight frizz and removes static as well. While I did not notice much difference in my hairs shine levels, hair does feel much smoother and tamed after using this brush. And all this without the use of any heat styling, mousse, gel or any other kind of hair taming product :) You can see and feel the difference in the appearance of your hair right after the first use of this hair brush. I love it and would recommend the brush if you have frizzy hair issues like me.

Aubrey Organics : Rosa Mosqueta Shampoo and Conditioner

Aubrey Organics is a range of all-natural skin, sun, body and baby care products. The company was founded over 40 years ago. Aubrey Organics uses the finest herbal, plant extracts and natural vitamins in all their products - this is based on their philosophy that great ingredients make great products. Their products do not contain petrochemicals, artificial colours or fragrances of any kind.

Aubrey Organics launched an exclusive Rosa Mosqueta© line in 1986. The products in this range are made with organic rose hip seed oil from Chile - the purest of its kind. Rose hip seed oil is said to:
- be naturally rich in essential fatty acids which are necessary for skin cell health
- protect and support skin's collagen with vitamin C and retinol
- restore the skin's moisture balance thereby improving texture and elasticity
- be excellent for dry or mature skin and brittle, damaged hair

A while back I received two products from the Rosa Mosqueta© range - the Rosa Mosqueta shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo claims to lock down colour and shine while gently removing impurities. It is said to retain you hair's moisture content. The vitamin-packed conditioner is said to fortify and rehydrate hair fibre to leave hair soft, healthy and revitalized. Both the products are ideal for colour-treated hair.

Rosa Mosqueta Shampoo(325ml, £10.49)
Rosa Mosqueta Conditioner(325ml, £16.99)

While I do not colour my hair, I still gave both these products a try as I love natural products. Now I had a mixed experience with these products. First up I tried the shampoo on its own. The fragrance is lovely. It is a warm rosy smell with some musky notes. I liked it. The shampoo doesn't lather much. This was okay with me as it is all-natural and I wasn't expecting it to lather like a regular shampoo but I found it very runny and difficult to work into my hair. Upon washing and drying, I found that it leaves my hair a little dry. I know it is a hydrating shampoo but for some reason it worked like a clarifying shampoo in my case. However, when I used both the shampoo and conditioner my hair was left in a much better condition. And thus I realised that I need to use both these products together to ensure that my hair is soft and manageable.

I like the fact that the shampoo is free from sulfates, parabens and phthalates. I also love the fragrance. A pair of products that work well for me only when used together :) You can check the Aubrey range here: aubreyorganicsuk.co.uk

Jojoba & Clove Organic Oil Treatment from Old Wives Tail

Taking good care of hair ensures that it has a healthy texture and an enviable shine. But it is easier said than done. Weather changes, pollution, lack of time, hormonal changes are some of the many reasons why hair tends to go limp, dry or coarse. Beauty counters are stocked with innumerable hair care products that claim to transform your hair. While I do use lots of different hair care products, one staple in my hair care cabinet is hair oil. I have been using hair oils for as long as I can remember. More recently, a treatment that I have been using for some time now is the Jojoba & Clove Organic Oil Treatment from Old Wives Tail.

Old Wives Tail is a small hair care company that sells handmade organic hair care products. Their products are  100% Organic – absolutely no additives or chemicals of any kind. Their products aim to nourish the hair with unique blends of oils. The company are strongly against animal testing in the beauty industry and donate 10% of their profits to charities that save animals from being tested upon. That is one more reason to buy their products.

This is how my product reached me. Loved the simple yet beautiful packaging.

Moving on to the product that I was sent - Jojoba & Clove Organic Oil Treatment. This one is said to be a very hydrating and balancing hair treatment for dull, thinning, brittle or broken hair. My hair has been on the dull side for some time now. I have also had some issues with increased hair fall, so this seemed like a good product to put to test. The treatment contains pure organic jojoba oil that adds strength, volume and texture to weak, lifeless hair by penetrating every hair follicle. Because it also contains clove oil it packs in anti-bacterial and stimulating properties as well.

Jojoba & Clove Organic Oil Treatment
£13.99 GBP

How to use?

You need to massage the oil into your scalp focusing on the ends. Leave the treatment on for one hour. Then you can shampoo it out. You could use your regular conditioner on the ends of your hair if needed. Another way to use the oil is as overnight treatment. Apply the oil on the scalp, wrap in a warm towel and leave it overnight. Next morning you can wash it off as usual. I have tried both the methods and each one has worked well - it leaves the hair nourished and smooth.

While both these are the suggested uses and work well, I have found that the oil treatment helps me in other ways as well. I suffer from migraine and normally when migraine sets in, I need to oil my hair. That helps the symptoms to ease off a little. I have used this oil treatment a couple of times when I happened to get my migraine and it helped in reducing the intensity of the migraine. I think this could be because of the presence of Clove oil. Another use is massaging in a few drops of the oil on the hair while blow drying. This keeps the flyaways under control. And the third way I used this product was by mixing it with my conditioner. It gives much better results than using just the conditioner.

Overall, this oil treatment is good as a deep conditioning treatment for hair. All other benefits that if offers are an added bonus.

Ingredients: Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Karite Butter Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) Fruit, Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove) Flower Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil.

What I liked about the Jojoba & Clove Organic Oil Treatment
- Gentle on the scalp and provides nourishment to dry hair
- Certified organic ingredients used
- Products are Paraben free
- No Sulfate and Gluten used
- Vegan & vegetarian
- No animal testing involved
- Absolutely fantastic smell. I love the clove oil fragrance.

You can check out the entire range of hair oil treatments from Old Wives Tail here.

Tame the Frizz & Add Some Shine with the Trevor Sorbie Frizz Free Conditioner

A couple of months back I had my second Keratin Hair Straightening treatment. But this time around it did not turn out well(I had it done at a salon nearer home - a big mistake). Anyways the effects of the straightening seemed to wear off soon and I was finding it hard to manage my hair which was longer than shoulder length. So off I went and got it cut short - above my shoulder level. Shorter hair for some reason made my hair more frizzy and I was back to square one - trying to tame my frizzy mane. And that's when came the Trevor Sorbie Frizz Free Conditioner(250ml, £5.29) to my rescue.

Because my hair was supposedly straigtened, I am still using the shampoo prescribed for Keratin treated hair, but moved onto the Trevor Sorbie Frizz Free Conditioner because it claims to have anti-frizz and a moisture-regulating technology to hydrate the hair. This deeply conditioning formula claims to give an intense moisturise boost to hair - perfect for using on damaged, un-manageable hair. And boy does it work! Just like the Trevor Sorbie Frizz Free Repair Mask which I had reviewed long back, this one also is like a boon for those with frizzy hair. Our hair is protected by a cuticle that acts as a protective shield and takes care of the hair's appearance and condition. This cuticle surface itself is protected by a lipid called 18-MEA. The Frizz Free conditioner from Trevor Sorbie has a 18 MEA Lipid Shine Complex which as you might have guessed protects the hair cuticle and thereby the hair, giving it a healthy shine and look.

The conditioner is a pleasure to use. It leaves my hair nourished and with a healthy shine while also giving me more control over my hair. The best part is that it does not weigh my hair down. Overall, a conditioner that works well for my hair. Like I had  mentioned in my earlier review, I personally feel that this brand deserves a lot more mention that it gets because their products do what they claim. If you have frizzy hair, I would recommend this.

You can purchase the Trevor Sorbie range from Boots stores nationwide, Trevor Sorbie salons and online as well.

Do you face problems with frizzy hair in this kind of weather?  What products do you use to keep your hair looking good?

Fushi Herbal Shampoo and Conditioner

After skin care, my next major area of interest is hair care. Having lived with frizzy hair and a dry scalp for most of my life, I always wished for manageable and smoother hair. I had my hair straightened last year and while that made my hair relatively frizz free and smooth, it also made my scalp oily. Now, both me and Mr.H have oily scalps :) We both recently put some Fushi hair care products to test. We tried out the Balance & Lift Herbal Shampoo and the Stimulate & Balance Herbal Conditioner.

The Balance Lift Herbal Shampoo(250ml, £12.50) is a herbal formulation that is designed to revitalise and cleanse the scalp gently. It is used to balance normal to greasy hair types. It works perfectly well for both Mr.H and me. The shampoo contains Witch Hazel which is known for its astringent properties. It also has Lime and Cedarwood that help to tone and refresh the scalp. I love the fragrance - feels so fresh and clean. The shampoo despite being a herbal preparation lathers well and since it contains Peppermint, Bergamot and Grape Seed Oil it also helps to balance the sebum production thereby ensuring that you hair stays fresh and non greasy for longer. Overall, a lovely shampoo for greasy hair.

The Stimulate & Balance Herbal Conditioner(250ml, £16.00) has similar ingredients as the shampoo in addition to Sandalwood and Sunflower Oil. Both these ingredients act as a light protective seal on the hair leaving it glossy without weighing it down. I have always used a conditioner in my hair care routine, but Mr. H always stayed away from conditioners because they usually tend to make his hair greasy quickly. But even he was pleased with this herbal conditioner as it gave a healthy feel to the hair without weighing it down.

If you have greasy hair, give both these products a go. They may be pricier than normal shampoos/conditioners, but provide excellent care. Hair feels and looks good and smells wonderful as well. You can check out the entire Fushi range here: www.fushi.co.uk

Klorane Anti-Irritant Shampoo with Peony - Review

My hair/scalp has a mind of its own and can be a real trouble at times. For the past month or so it has been irritated and I have had to skip using most of my hair styling products. I have used medicated shampoos earlier, but was on the lookout for gentler options which did the same job. And while on my search I came across Klorane. Klorane have been specialists in the hair care industry for more than 30 years now. All their products are designed with the goodness of Mother Nature and thus provide gentle and natural solutions to all types of hair and scalp problems.

With its translucent pink colour, this Peony shampoo from Klorane is perfect for irritated scalps. Peony has been used frequently in dermatology for its anti-irritant effect and no wonder it is the star ingredient in this shampoo. The shampoo is gentle on the scalp, smells heavenly and my hair/scalp are less irritated since I have been using this shampoo. I tend to wash my scalp 3-4 times a week and my scalp has been irritation free even between washes. I would recommend this to anyone who has scalp sensitivity issues. Perfect for frequent use.
