It is sandal season. But as I type this post and look out of the window, the sky looks overcast and gloomy. Nonetheless over the past few weeks, I have been flaunting my feet in my favourite sandals. I love summer footwear in feet-revealing styles and always ensure that my feet are in tip-top shape well before summer arrives. Foot soaks and scrubs form a regular part of my foot care regime, so do moisturisation and nail painting. This summer Burt's Bees collection of therapeutic foot products have helped me keep my feet moisturised and nourished.

Foot Care Products from Burt's Bees

We have been trialling two products from Burt's Bees foot care range over the past few weeks - the Coconut Foot Cream (£12.99, 120g) and the Peppermint Foot Lotion (£12.99, 100ml)

The foot cream includes coconut oil, lanolin and vegetable glycerine to rejuvenate even the driest of feet. It has a pale yellow colour and consistency somewhat similar to honey. The cream is thick and rich and is best suited for night use. My mom has been using it. She massages it onto her feet and leaves it overnight (with socks on). A couple of weeks of regular use and the condition of her feet has improved a lot. It is an amazing foot cream - relieves dryness and leaves the feet moisturised and soft. Definitely recommended for those with dry or cracked heels.

The foot lotion, which I have been using, is a very zingy, refreshing lotion. It's USP is the lovely, strong peppermint fragrance that makes your feet tingle on application. It is perfect for refreshing tried and achy feet on a hot day. According to Burt's Bees the lotion contains a botanical blend of oils and extracts made from rosemary, witch hazel, tea tree, parsley and sodium bicarbonate and this helps to neutralise mild foot odour.

The lotion is lighter in thickness than the cream and feels wonderful on application - cool and luxurious. It hydrates and soothes the feet and the scent like I mentioned earlier is amazing. Along with my feet, I massage the lotion up my legs as well, especially after very long walks. The lotion is perfect for day time use and is a nice treat for tired feet.
