Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a lovely weekend. I am beginning the week with a home fragrance related review. A while back I was contacted by Owlchemy, who make hand-crafted scented wax melts and also stock electric wax warmers. When I was asked if I would like to review one of their offerings and run a giveaway for my lovely readers, I said yes. Being a lover of home fragrances and candles, I could not let go of this opportunity, could I? I selected the Morning Glory Wax Warmer which comes with three free summer scents.

I use wax melts regularly albeit with a traditional wax burner which makes use of tea lights. I had never used an electric wax warmer earlier, so was quite intrigued and excited to try this one out. Owlchemy wax warmers come in two lovely designs -
  • Sunflower : which features a lovely sunflower design and
  • Morning Glory : that will remind you of the white flowers that climb up your fence on summer day.
Morning Glory, which I chose, has a lovely brown colour with a glossy finish. When I received the package I was surprised by the size. It is much bigger than I had imagined it would be. It is almost double the size of my old wax warmer! But it is beautifully made and goes well with the room décor. There is a 25 watt halogen light bulb inside the warmer base, which you can switch on and off using the switch on the cord. Once the bulb is switched on, in some time the heat from the bulb melts the wax which is placed on the top dish. The lovely scent is accompanied by a beautiful light glow coming out of the warmer base. It is lovely to look at.

The scents that came along with the warmer were lovely - Sex on the beach, Fresh Linen and Sea Berry - all wonderfully fragrant scents. Owlchemy have other lovely scents in their range like Caramel Apple, Mulled Cider, Red Rose Petals and Sweet Pea to name a few.

The wax warmer is perfect for use in scenarios where you cannot use candles in your accommodation i.e. in university rooms or rented accommodation. Otherwise as well, these are lovely to have at home. A stylish and relatively safe way to fill your home with fragrance minus the flame, smoke or soot.

  41. I would most definetly choose the gorgeous sunflower warmer and as i'm a fruity girl i would choose this as it sounds heavenly

Apricot Freesia A fresh, fruity accord with nuances of peach on a background of freesia. Very fresh and clean. Created in a beeswax blend for a distinctive warmth and longer lasting scent.

Apricot brings self-empowerment through acceptance of responsibility and Freesia helps to heal those who are overwhelmed by life itself.
