Back in April I had written about the Anti-Ageing Health & Beauty Show. It was held the past weekend at the London Olympia. I was there on Day 2. This was my first time at the show and all I can say is - it was very informative and a wonderful experience. Thank you Jenny and Prim for the opportunity to attend the show and for the lovely goody bag.

At the show I discovered some new brands and also visited some which I already was aware of. Tried out some new products, attended some interesting presentations and met a lot of wonderful people. I particularly found the presentations very informative and fun. I managed to attend quite a few of them while flitting about from one stand to the other. The Dracula PRP Facial presentation by Dr Daniel Sister was fantastic. He is the pioneer of 'Dracula' Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy in UK and demonstrated this unique treatment live on stage. Another presentation that I found interesting was the one on 'Soft Sutures' by Dr Khan of Harley Street Skin Clinic. He demonstrated a new treatment called Soft Lift that gives immediate and natural results without incisions.

Donna Bella have a range of premium flat irons, blow dryers and other accessories. The lovely and friendly lady at Donna Bella demonstrated their styling products. She curled up sections of my hair in different styles and finally straightened all of it using their ceramic stylers. I liked the sleek and ergonomic design of their products.

There were some innovative products like this 'uTummy' which is a weight machine that comes equipped with a double action Cardio-twist motion. It claims to allow the users to strengthen their core muscles. All you need to do is twist and turn your body in the direction opposite to that of the uTummy's movement. You can read more about the brand here: www.osim.com

One of the new brands that I checked out was 'Rajeunir'. It is a fairly new brand and their range includes 4 products: Shampoo, Conditioner, Lip Serum and Moisture Serum. You can check out their website - rajeunir.co.uk for more information on their products.

The gorgeous TV presenter and interior designer Linda Barker was also at the show. Linda, well known for her healthy diet and lifestyle, spoke about the Stratum C Menopause Skin Care range which she herself uses.

There was a Q&A session with Vicky Eldridge(award winning journalist, editor of Aesthetic Medicine magazine), Claire Coleman(award-winning freelance journalist whose writes for The Daily Mail, Elle, Stylist and the Financial Times amongst others) and Alice Hart - Davis(freelance beauty journalist and creator of the Good Things skincare range). It was nice to see all these lovely ladies in person for the first time.

I also visited the Ginvera stand at the show. I have used the Marvel Exfoliating Gel from the brand earlier and really like it. You can read my review here.

I love face masks was drawn to the Carlton Groups stand where they were exhibiting their Timeless Truth Facial Beauty Masks. I liked the range of masks they had on offer -  facial sheet masks pre-soaked in serum and ready to use for various treatments. Though I have never tried this range earlier, I look forward to trying them out sometime soon.

I had a quick demo of the Melody Claire pain free hair removal kit. It is a relatively pain free method to remove unwanted hair. Not only does it remove hair, it exfoliates the skin as well. The Micro-Crystal Pads buff away unwanted hair and the makers also claim that hair will grow back slower and finer. I have tried waxing, IPL, shaving, plucking and depilatory creams, but had never heard or tried this method before. Might give this method a go :) You can check out their website - www.melody-claire.com for more information.

Perfect Products is an up and coming company that specialises is the sale and promotion of a variety of beauty products. They had a stand where they were 'demo-ing' Cresty Cosmetics Eyebrow Stencil Kit. The kit contains 3 stencils, a brush and makeup powder. The beautiful lady at the stand tried it out on my eyebrows. It was quick and is an easy way to give a lovely shape to one's eyebrows.

There were many other exhibitors like -  Neal's Yard Remedies, Skinade, Arbonne, Aria Beauty, Clinogen Laboratories, Collagen Gold, Edinburgh Natural Skincare Company, Forever Living Products, Korniahealth and Dr LeWinns to name a few. I will be talking about some of these brands in the coming days, so keep checking back.

And last but certainly not the least was - Antonia Mariconda (‘The Cosmedic Coach’).  She is a well known health and beauty writer and expert. It was such a pleasure seeing her in person. She is full of energy and had a wonderful positive vibe around her. She presented The Anti-ageing Show live on stage throughout the event and was a pleasure to watch and hear. Love her.

Overall, it was a lovely day and I had a fantastic time. Did you attend the Anti-Ageing Health & Beauty Show too? How was your experience? Do let me know by leaving a comment below.
