Since entering the 40s a few years back, I have noticed that the fine lines around my eyes have increased as has the pigmentation on my face. I have been making a shift towards products that contain ingredients like Retinol, Vitamin C, collagen boosters, Hyaluronic acid etc. My skincare routine has also changed and I am now incorporating more anti-aging skin care products in my skincare plan. For the past few weeks I have been using the Annmarie Fruit Ceramide Eye Serum which is a 'transformative treatment formulated to enhance the resilience and radiance of the delicate skin around the eyes'.

Key ingredients of the Annmarie Fruit Ceramide Eye Serum

Some of the key ingredients in the eye serum are:

  • Pineapple fruit extract
  • Alpine wormwood flower extract
  • Lingonberry plant stem cells
  • Aloe aloe vera leaf juice
  • Lavender extract
  • Green tea leaf extract
  • Pomegranate seed extract
  • Neroli flower oil
  • Gotu kola leaf extract
  • Calendula flower extract
  • Carrot seed extract
  • Chia seed extract

The pineapple ceramides and sake peptides are said to target the appearance of deep lines and together help to regenerate elasticity and brighten the undereye area. Lingonberry has high levels of phytonutrients, vitamins E and C and is known for its anti-aging properties and in the eye serum it plays the role of firming and softening the skin. Extracts of artemisia and sambucus soothe skin sensitivities and protects against oxidative stress while also illuminating the skin. Pomegranate seed oil has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, healing and nourishing qualities and helps in regenerating and repairing skin. As you can see the serum is packed with a host of natural ingredients that aim to deliver a luxe skincare experience.

How to use the Annmarie Fruit Ceramide Eye Serum

The suggestion is to use the serum both AM/PM but I have been using it in my nightly skincare routine before applying my facial moisturiser. You only need a very small amount for each application. For the first few uses, I think I took a bit more serum than was needed and it left a residue behind. But with the right amount applied with the fingertip, it gets absorbed well. The serum smells lovely (natural citrusy/fruity fragrance) and is very moisturising and soothing.

It has been around 3 weeks since I started using the serum and I think my undereye lines are now looking a wee bit less pronounced than earlier. The major difference I can see is in the hydration of the undereye area. It does not feel dry or stretched anymore; rather it feels supple and hydrated.

The Fruit Ceramide Eye Serum is non-GMO, chemical-free, cruelty-free, and completely plant-based. It does not contain any sulfates or parabens and is suitable for all skin types.

For those looking to prevent visible signs of aging, especially in the eye area, the Annmarie Fruit Ceramide Eye Serum is a good product to try.

It is priced at £69.50 (for 10ml) and can be ordered online from www.liveinthelight.co.uk
