  36. We never celebrated Father's Day when I was a child, it was just coming in then and it was all about commercialism. It still is, sadly. However, I don't need a special day to recognise my love and appreciation for my Dad, I give it anyway.

  37. I still remember the first father's day after our son was born. My best friend had also just had her 1st child, so we all went out with our babies to a restaurant to celebrate. I have some lovely photos of that day which I must get round to digitising!

  39. I remember last Father's Day I surprised my dad by taking him out on a meal to his favourite pub/grill place. He absolutely loved it, and we stayed there for hours on end just speaking lol!
