What Goes Into My Travel Skincare/Beauty Kit

I love travelling light so my travel packing list is always kept to the basic minimum. While travelling can leave you with little time for your skincare regime, I do try to ensure that I do not forget my skincare routine completely while travelling.  In my skincare kit I carry mini sizes of products that I would normally use on a day-to-day basis. The most important thing that goes into my skincare kit is a moisturiser with at least SPF 30. Even a little time spent in the sun dehydrates my face a lot and I obviously would not like to end up with a dull leathery face. So, this is a must carry product. Other staples in this kit are shampoo/conditioner(most hotels stock these basics but not all of them suit my hair type; so I always carry these), body lotion, lip balm, facial mist, face wash, wet wipes and a couple of face masks(sheet masks or clay ones that come in a sachet). I know that might look like a lot of products in a basic kit but believe me I have culled it down to the minimum that I would need.

My beauty kit is even more minimalistic because I do not use much makeup and even less when I travel. In my kit you will find 1 black mascara, 2 lip colours, 1 blush, 1 solid perfume and pressed powder. I also usually carry 1 nail colour and nail polish remover pads too. There will be a lot of essential beauty tools like:
- Tweezers
- Nail Clipper
- Nail File / Nail Shapers
- Magnifying Mirror

Tweezers, Nail Clippers and Nail Shapers are three items that I never travel without. Travelling usually takes a toll on my nails - whether it is because of handling luggage or exposure to pool/ocean water. The fact that my finger nails are brittle also add to the problem. I feel there is nothing worse than chipped or broken nails. So a nail clipper and shaper is always a steady companion while travelling. The same goes for eyebrows too. Left on their own for a few days my eyebrows can turn unruly. And that is why even while travelling I always ensure that I groom my eyebrows every few days. Currently I am using the QVS range of beauty tools and liking them. QVS is a brand which sells cosmetic & nail accessories. Their product range includes: cosmetic brushes and applicators, tweezers, manicure and pedicure kits and much more. I have used a few products from their brand.

The Tweezer Duo(£4.48) with its slanted tip is perfect. It grips well and makes grooming eyebrows an easier task. I liked the Micro Tweezer which comes as a bonus in the duo pack. The Nail Clipper(£1.98) has a sturdy design with a built in laser nail file. The mini Cushioned Nail Shapers(£1.99) come in quite handy when I need to shape my nails or fix a chipped/broken nail. I like the cutesy floral design on the nail shapers. I also have the Compact Velour Puffs(£2.48) from QVS. These are ultra soft and perfect for applying pressed powder. You can also use it to apply blusher. This is the first time I have tried out products from QVS beauty and I am liking them.

What do you carry in your travel skincare/beauty kit? Have you used any beauty tools from QVS? What do you think of the brand? I would love to hear your thoughts.
