Both myself and Mr.H are chocoholics, he more so than me. So, when I receive yummy treats to trial and then share my views with you all, I get excited to say the least. Last week the lovely team at Charbonnel et Walker sent us a sample of the latest addition to their best-selling truffle range - the brand new Raspberry Marc de Champagne Truffles. I have had the opportunity to try some of their other truffles earlier(Sea Salt Banana Caramel Truffles and Marc de Champagne Truffle Heart) and both myself and Mr.H had enjoyed them a lot, so I was expecting these to be equally delicious and mistaken I was not.
The Raspberry Marc de Champagne Truffles feature the irresistible yummy flavour of Marc de Champagne and Raspberry nestled inside a delicious dark chocolate shell. The truffles are lightly finished with a raspberry pink icing sugar. What a treat to the senses! Just looking at them made me happy :) I love dark chocolate and the combination of it with Marc de Champagne and Raspberry was absolutely divine. Totally moreish. Mr. H who favours milk chocolates over dark ones absolutely loved these! He said these are the best dark chocolates he has ever tasted. The balance of flavours was absolutely perfect.
Just like their other offerings, these new truffles from Charbonnel et Walker are handmade using the finest ingredients and placed individually into paper cups. The truffles come well presented in a round truffle box which is a deep raspberry pink in colour. Not just the chocolates, I love the packaging of Charbonnel et Walker goodies as well. I still have the Marc de Champagne Truffle Heart box, which I now use to store my craft bits and bobs :)
