It's hard to believe we are in August already! But 2021 is flying by quickly and as we begin a new month, I wanted to share some fab skincare finds with my readers.
SHEGLAM Wild At Heart Collection
SHEGLAM recently partnered with the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) to launch the Wild Heart Collection; a range of 100% vegan and cruelty-free make up palettes.
The new collection features 5 palettes and takes inspiration from the world’s most majestic and rare animals. Each palette is packaged in FSC certified, 100% recycled materials that are also biodegradable. Plus, SHEGLAM will be making a donation of $50,000 on behalf of their customers to IFAW, which will go towards rescuing and protecting animals all over the world.

- Wolf Calls Palette and

Inspired by the icy colours associated with the Arctic Wolf, the stunning Wolf Calls Palette features a cool spectrum of blues and greys. The Fin Within Palette on the other hand takes inspiration from the tropical colours of the Pseudanthias Hawaiiensis fish and features a colourful spectrum of gorgeous pinks, blues and oranges. Both the palettes are 100% vegan and cruelty-free.
I loved both the palettes for their beautifully pigmented colours. Both are great colourful palettes to experiment and get arty with.

grüum - skyda Daily Defence Lotion
Next up on my list is skyda Daily Defence Lotion (50ml, RRP £9) – a lightweight SPF 50 face lotion launched recently by British skincare brand grüum. The brand new formulation aims to keep your skin protected against the sun’s harmful rays, daily pollution and free radicals.
Enriched with Vitamin E, the fragrance-free lotion has been dermatologist tested and is suitable for all skin-types, including those with sensitised skin. The lotion has a light-weight texture, is easily absorbed, water-resistant and works as an excellent base under make-up. It does not contain any synthetic fragrances or artificial colours and is also free from parabens, sulphates, SLS, EDTA and petrochemicals.
Apply it on your face and neck after moisturising and top up as needed based on the level of sun exposure. The product doesn't leave a white residue across the skin and helps prevent skin damage and hyperpigmentation that can be caused due to prolonged sun exposure.

Angela Langford Skincare - Sweet Cheeks Face Wash
My combination skin loves this face wash from Angela Langford Skincare. Made with Rose petals, Papaya, Cypress, Orange blossom & Witch hazel, this non-foaming & gentle face wash not only gently removes dirt and grime but also tightens pores and calms the skin.
All you need is a small amount applied to your damp face and neck and then gently massage it before washing it off with warm water. The face wash has a light-weight texture, smells gorgeous and doesn't strip the skin of its natural oils. It leaves the skin feeling fresh, clean and zingy with zero tightness afterwards.
You can use it as a daily face wash due to its gentle nature. I have combination, sensitised skin and it worked well for me.
