Virginia Hayward Love Chocolate Hamper | Review and Giveaway

Virginia Hayward Love Chocolate Hamper

For an avid foodie, nothing is more exhilarating than receiving a food or drink hamper. So when Virginia Hayward offered to send us one of their chocolate hampers so that we at DB Reviews could give it a try, there was no reason I would say no.

Virginia Hayward

Virginia Hayward is a family-owned business established in 1984 by Gin and Geoff Hayward. With humble beginnings as a cottage enterprise the business has today grown into a big, leading player in the luxury wine and food hamper industry. The only thing that has remained unchanged is the company ethos

To source and supply high quality, beautifully presented luxury food and wine hampers that are reliably delivered and delightfully received in a timely manner and are supported by impeccable levels of customer service.

Included in the hamper were the following:
- Belgian Chocolate Sauce
- Radfords Handmade West Country Chocolate & Caramel Fudge 113g

- The Cocoa Bean Company Hot Chocolate Spoon with Mini Mallows 30g
- The Original Cake Company Mini Chocolate Log topped with Fudge Pieces
- Vital Chocolate Nougat Bar 100g

As you can see, it is a nice selection of chocolate treats and we have managed to finish all of it except the chocolate sauce! My favourite was the all-butter shortbread with fine Belgian chocolate chips - so luxurious. Once you start eating them it's just so damn difficult to stop! Mr.H loved the Radfords Chocolate & Caramel Fudge - great quality, traditional, handmade fudge - and the Original Cake Company Mini Chocolate Log which was delicious as well. The Vital Chocolate Nougat Bar was also good - flavoursome but not overly sweet.

Overall, we liked the hamper. It ticked all the right boxes and we felt that it was good value for what it is. Priced at £19.99, the Love Hamper would make a wonderful gift for a chocolate lover. Or you could treat yourself with one of these hampers.

In addition to the large number of chocolate hampers (in all price ranges), Virginia Hayward also have an impressive selection of other hampers ranging from aromatic cheese to deli-style food, from vegan hampers to gluten-free ones and from tea & coffee hampers to ones with tipple. They have a hamper to suit every taste and budget. Check them out at www.virginiahayward.com.

Since my youngest son doesn't eat chocolate & the rest are pefrectly capable of buying their own this would keep me in well deserved treats for a good few weeks :-) Well...maybe the youngest would have some choccy sauce on ice cream
