Aqua Manda and Aqua Citra FragrancesSummer is almost here. And along with changes in the wardrobe, it is also time to try out some new scents for the warm season. When I think of summer scents what comes to my mind is the balmy sea breeze, sweet tropical fruits, an exotic bouquet of flowers and refreshing, zesty fragrances. Featured in today's post are two such fragrances that will delight your senses and are sure to be your go-to scents throughout summer.

I have been trying out two summer-y fragrances over the last few weeks - Aqua Manda and Aqua Citra - and love them. Both the scents were popular in the 60s and 70s and were relaunched a few years back with a modern appeal.

Aqua Manda contains the essential oils of mandarin, ginger, lavender, patchouli, cinnamon and other aromatic herbs like eucalyptus, tarragon and juniper berry. It has a top note of Mandarin with an Oriental base note.

Aqua Citra, as the name suggests, has citrus notes combined with a soft spicy accord, a green floral heart and a lovely woody & musky drydown at the end.

Both the scents have been approved by the original creator of the fragrances, Christopher Collins, who acted as an advisor on the fragrances' relaunch. I have not tried the original versions of these fragrances and hence cannot compare it to the earlier versions. But on their own, the relaunched versions are lovely. Aqua Citra is fresh, stimulating and zesty and will remind you of the warmth of somewhere really lovely. Every time I spray on the fragrance, it brings to my mind Lake Garda! It is almost like sunshine in a bottle. I love it.

Aqua Manda brings a summery twist with a dash of the Oriental. Essential oils of Mandarin and Patchouli will make you feel like you're somewhere nice in the Mediterranean enjoying the sunshine. I think this is a scent one can wear all summer and months later in winter too taking you right back to summer memories.

Overall, both the scents are lovely. Both of them are priced at £39.99 for 100ml and can be purchased from www.aquamandaperfume.com
