We have been trying out the alcoholic craft sodas from Crooked Beverage Co and let me tell you are they are simply awesome. Crooked Beverage Co was started to create something truly new and truly different and I think they have achieved that. Each of the three flavours of the alcoholic sodas have been created with a lot of experimentation and with all natural juices and fruit flavours.

All of the three alcoholic sodas have notes of malt and hops and have been crafted from real fruit juices with no added sweeteners, added sugars or preservatives. The three flavours are:

  • Mother Moon: Soft and sweet ripe peach gently combines with delicately perfumed pomegranate to deliver a fruity, light alcoholic soda with a dry hoppy finish (4.7% ABV)
  • Dayglo Skies: Sweet yet tart raspberries mingle with a citrusy hit to deliver a fruity, light alcoholic soda with a dry hoppy finish (4.7% ABV)
  • Midnight Stage: The bold and refreshing taste of blood orange combines with zingy passionfruit to deliver a fruity, light alcoholic soda with a dry hoppy finish (4.7% ABV)

The branding of the cans is wonderful. Bold, colourful and quirky, the illustrations on the cans has been done by Sheffield illustrator, Lisa O'Hara.

I loved all the three variants of these alcoholic sodas - full of natural fruity flavours and just the right amount of sweetness. Perfect. My favourite was Dayglo Skies - very fresh and the ideal balance of tartness and sweetness. The other two were good too.

These alcoholic craft sodas are available from Sainsbury’s (RRP £2.50) and ASDA (RRP £3.00).
