Yushoi Snapea Rice Sticks - Great Tasting Snacks

A couple of months back we were introduced to Yushoi Snapea rice sticks courtesy Degustabox. Recently Calbee UK, the manufacturers of Yushoi Snapea rice sticks got in touch and asked if we would like to try the rest of the range too! Both myself and Mr.H had liked the rice sticks, so we were happy to try out the others in the range too.

Yushoi Snapea Rice Sticks - Great Tasting Snacks

Yushoi Snapea rice sticks are a healthier alternative to crisps and other fried snacks. Made of green peas and rice, these baked snacks are a source of protein (from the peas), high in fibre and contain less than 99 calories per bag or per serving. The snacks do not contain any artificial flavours or colourings or MSG.

Yushoi Snapea is currently available in four flavours:
  • Lightly Salted
  • Sweet Chilli & Lemon
  • Soy & Balsamic Vinegar and
  • Smoked Salt & Szechuan Pepper
The baked snack is shaped like a pea pod and has a lovely crunchy texture.

Lightly Salted is made with 74% green peas and is seasoned with just a sprinkling of salt to enhance their natural sweetness. This flavour is the closest to natural pea flavour. Soy & Balsamic Vinegar is made with 68% green peas and is flavoured with a combination of salty soy sauce and sweet balsamic vinegar. Very scrummy. Smoked Salt & Szechuan Pepper has a smoky barbecue flavour and is very delicious. While all the flavours were lovely, the most liked in our household was the Sweet Chilli & Lemon flavour as it has the perfect balance of spice with a little tangy sweetness (lemon).
