Nair Washable Roll-On Wax with Argan Oil & Orange Blossom Extract, Review

I have used different types of hair removal methods over the years. Waxing was my most preferred option of hair removal for legs until a couple of years back. I then used IPL on my legs and the hair growth reduced. Now, I either shave or wax my legs depending on the time on hand and my mood. I have waxed for well over 10 years and believe me, waxing is not as bad as most would imagine. Yes, there is pain involved. But it depends on various factors like - your level of sensitivity, your pain threshold and also on the coarseness of hair. And with regular waxing, you kind of become used to the pain. Some are put off by the irritation and redness of skin post waxing. But there are tips and tricks to combat these and the effects are usually temporary.

If you are waxing for the first time, I would suggest you visit a beauty salon. Once you are comfortable and confident, you can do it yourself at home. Nair recently launched their new Argan Oil Collection - hair removal treatments that feature the natural and restorative ingredient - Argan Oil. There are 4 products in the collection : roll-on wax, facial wax strips, body wax strips and shower power cream. I got the chance to try out the Nair Argan Oil Roll-on Wax.

Nair Washable Roll-On Wax with Argan Oil & Orange Blossom Extract
I have used a roll-on wax kit from another brand earlier and had found it too messy to use. The results were not great either. But I did go into this trial with an open mind. The Nair Argan Oil Roll-on Wax kit is very easy to use. Clear and detailed instructions are printed on the box. The roll-on wax kit I had used earlier was heated by electric power. It had a power cable in the kit. This one from Nair, on the other hand, is to be heated in the microwave which I found very convenient. All I had to do was warm the wax, apply it in a thin layer on my legs, place the strips provided on the wax, hold the skin tight and pull :-) Waxing usually leaves my skin a bit red and irritated and it was no different with this one from Nair. But it was not as red as it normally is. I think this could be due to the presence of Argan Oil in the wax - which was kind of soothing and also moisturised my legs. I also liked the lovely aroma of the wax - it is the due to the presence of Orange Blossom. In terms of efficiency, the waxing did remove most of the hair. Only in some sections of the leg a few strays were left which was fine.

The cotton strips that come with the kit are thick and big. And they can be reused it is said. However, I did not bother to clean and reuse them. The roller head can also be washed with warm soapy water, so that the kit is clean when you use it the next time. It took me around 15 minutes to do both the legs. Quick, easy and very little mess. I am impressed.

What I liked
- Quick. The wax heats in less than 1 minute.
- Easy and non-messy application. Roll on, wax off.
- Washable. So, it is easy to clean the kit.
- Long lasting results.
- Love the fragrance.

The Nair Washable Roll-On Wax with Argan Oil & Orange Blossom Extract is priced at £12.99 and available online on Boots.

Note: If you are using a roll-on wax kit for the first time, then please read the instruction leaflet carefully before use.
