Spontex Full Action System Mop & Bucket - Review and Giveaway

I LOVE cleaning! I am not obsessive about it but I don't like mess and find that I am much more relaxed when my surroundings are clean and tidy. I also like cleaning gadgets and tools. Yeah, you heard me right and might find it weird but I actually like trying out new cleaning products. One of my favourite finds from last year was the Gtech AirRam MK2, a high performance cordless vacuum cleaner that I absolutely love using.

Last month I was sent the new Spontex Full Action System Mop & Bucket to review and needless to say I was quite excited. This latest offering from Spontex is a microfiber fringe spin mop and bucket with a clever 360 degree rinsing and wringing system.

Temperatures have dropped and the nights are getting colder. And even with heating on in the nights, I have been unable to sleep well. My extremities tend to be cold always; no matter what the season. And it only gets worse in the colder months. So, I am always looking for ways to keep myself warm and cosy. Thankfully SleepyPeople sent me one of the Silentnight Fleecy Electric Blankets to try out and it has proved to be very useful since its arrival.

High performance effortless cleaning with the Gtech AirRam MK2

Gtech is a name I only recently heard of. Gtech (Grey Technology) was founded in 2001 by Nick Grey and they developed the world's first cordless power sweeper in 2002. Since then they have developed and launched a number of cordless floor-care and garden products.

We recently got the chance to test Gtech's latest offering - the AirRam MK2, a high performance cordless vacuum cleaner.

Scented Candles from Matalan's Homeware Range

Happy Monday, everyone. In less than a week's time, it will be October. Time has really just flown by! It feels like it was the beginning of 2016 just a while back and here we are moving closer and closer to December. Guess time moves really fast when you are enjoying what you are doing.

Today, I thought I’d share these awesome bargain buys from Matalan with all you candle lovers out there. While I have been to Matalan numerous times, I have always stuck to their clothing section, never really looking into the homeware range they offer. Turns out they have a very nice homeware section which includes an inexpensive range of candles.

OXO Good Grips Kitchen Tools : Ergonomic Design, Easy to Use and Compact

My RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis) has been mostly under control for the last one year although there have been flares once in a while. The flares though temporary are highly troublesome as the inflammation and pain makes even simple tasks quite difficult to achieve. During the worst of flares, I find even holding a toothbrush or spoon extremely difficult. Milder flares have struggles like difficulty opening jars, unable to get a good grip on things, pain while chopping vegetables, dropping things and so on. Since being diagnosed with RA I have made a lot of changes in the kitchen so that it is now set up in such a way that it works best for me. I have looked up and purchased some kitchen tools and gadgets that can make simple kitchen chores less daunting when I have painful finger joints. Jar and bottle openers, utensils with ergonomic rubber handles etc. have made things a little bit easier for me.

I recently received two very useful products from OXO:
- Good Grips Chopper and
- Good Grips Two-Fold Grater

The New Stellar Rocktanium Fry Pan

Non-stick cookware has come a long way since it was first invented. Newer models are more safer and ergonomic to use. Stellar recently launched a new non-stick frying pan collection called 'Rocktanium'.

I have used Stellar products in the past and have always been impressed with their build quality. So, when the Rocktanium range came out, I was keen to try it out.

Stellar's Speciality Chefs Pans

The kitchen in our current home is compact and small on space. To make it feel spacious I ensure that there is no clutter. This means my kitchen is not armed with all kinds of fancy gadgets. Rather you will find compact and versatile utensils and gadgets. If an utensil serves more than one purpose then it is a winner in my kitchen.

Stellar's Speciality Chefs Pans tick all the right boxes for me. Made with heavy duty 18/10 stainless steel, these pans have a wide flat base and tall sloping sides and can be used as a saucepan, frying pan or wok, delivering with equal capability in each case.

Stellar Copper Kitchen Gadgets

One of the most used gadgets in my kitchen is the peeler. Not a single cooking session goes by without me using the peeler. Apart from trimming the skin off fruits and vegetables, I use the peeler to shave cheese slices or frozen butter and also to make chocolate curls (to be used as toppings for desserts). When I saw these stunning and beautifully crafted copper peelers from Stellar, they immediately won my heart. And when I held the peeler in my hands, I knew these were not just good to look at but of an excellent build quality.

Go green with the Judge folding market basket

A while back the 5p levy was imposed on the use of plastic carrier bags and since then thankfully the usage of plastic carrier bags has reduced. I have been using jute bags and totes for a very long time. But totes are not a very practical solution when out shopping for delicate items as the items would get pressed and squashed due to lack of structure in the bags.

Judge have added a simple and very clever product to their range which will help you go green in a stylish way. The product in question is the Judge Foldable Market Basket. The basket collapses down to a compact size when not in use and opens up into a sturdy and spacious basket when needed. It is lightweight and had a solid handle and frame. At the base are tiny plastic feet that allow you to set down the basket without having to worry about damage to the basket. It is a very clever product from Judge and costs just £12.50.

Ella's Kitchen and Tableware From Premier Housewares - Review

I dislike wet, dark and gloomy days. And we have had a lot of that over the past couple of weeks. I feel like hibernating but I know I cannot crawl back under the covers for any longer than I already do. Tea is what keeps me going and I am reaching out more for my favourite cuppa. Also cheering me up are these funky and retro inspired mugs from Premier Housewares.

Ozeri Green Earth Frying Pan with GREBLON Ceramic Coating

I have been using the Ozeri Green Earth Wok for more than 2 years now and it is still as good as new even with almost daily usage. The only wear and tear has been in the handle which has developed a small crack but the non-stick coating of the wok is still intact and totally 'non-stick' like it was on the first day of use. So it should come as no surprise to you, when I say that Ozeri is a brand I trust and would recommend without a second thought. Recently I was sent the 26 cm Green Earth Frying Pan from Ozeri to test.
