Sitting for long periods, no matter how good your posture, is sure to affect your back. I have postural issues and coupled with work that involves sitting in front of the computer for long periods of time, I often end up with nagging lower back pain. Hot compresses, topical pain relief applications and at times pain killers are what give me relief. I have made a conscious effort to reduce my dependence on pain medications and have incorporated yoga and stretching exercises into my daily routine. I have also made other lifestyle changes and am always on the lookout for ways to help keep back pain away.
