I had reviewed some products from Aveeno's Dermexa range a while back on the blog. That was my first introduction to the brand and both myself and Mr.H had loved the products. Today I am back with a couple of other products from Aveeno; this time from the Daily Moisturising range.
The Daily Moisturising range is formulated with colloidal oatmeal and is ideal for those with normal to dry skin. The range includes around 10 products all of which leave the skin moisturised while protecting against the feeling of dryness. We tried out two products - the Creamy Oil and the Body Yogurt.
Aveeno Daily Moisturising Creamy Oil
Presented in a very handy pump bottle, this creamy oil has been formulated with naturally active colloidal oatmeal and sweet almond oil. As you would have guessed from the name, it is a cream but with all the moisturising benefits of an oil minus the greasiness. The creamy oil (texture more like a lotion) has a very pleasant and delicate, sweet fragrance and is very easy to massage into the skin. It is not greasy at all, sinks into the skin easily and gets absorbed very quickly. And the best part, it instantly hydrates and soothes the skin.
Aveeno Daily Moisturising Body Yogurt (Vanilla & Oat scented)
The body yogurt is amazing. It smells delectable and I have used it all over body and even on face (a few times) without any irritation. The scent like I mentioned is amazing; natural but not too strong. The product is formulated with colloidal oatmeal and nutrient rich yogurt concentrate and is like a treat for the skin. Works very well on normal to dry skin leaving it moisturised for longer than other similar products from different brands. I have been using this after showering and it's very easy to apply. Moisturising is no longer a chore; it is easy peasy with Aveeno products as they take very little time to get absorbed into the skin. And you need only a small amount of the product; so a 200 ml tub like the one featured is going to last a long time. I am very pleased with this body yogurt.
Overall, both these products from the Daily Moisturising range have been excellent. In fact I am very pleased that I discovered the Aveeno brand. All the products that I have tried so far from Aveeno have been far superior to many other similar products from other popular brands. And the products are priced reasonably as well. Clearly a lot of time has been spent on research and development by Aveeno as the products do exactly what they claim. I like that they use a lot of naturally active ingredients that offer real skincare benefits. If you haven't tried Aveeno products, I recommend that you check them out. You will not be disappointed.
