Degustabox October 2017

Gifted | Affiliate links

Let's take a look at the products included in this month's box.

Hippeas - In Herbs We Trust, £2.29
Hippeas - organic chickpea puffs which are light, crunchy and airy and very moreish. They have a good content of protein and fibre and are vegan friendly. We sampled the 'in herbs we trust' flavour and loved it. Other flavours include 'cheese & love', 'far out fajita' and 'sweet & smokin'.

Pechkeks Misfortune Cookies, £1.50
Black coloured cookies laced with some black humour. We had seen this in one of the Degustaboxes last year. It is different and we had a good laugh over the pessimistic message but I am not sure if these cookies will be a hit with everyone.

Heinz No Added Sugar Hoops in Tomato Sauce, £0.75
With no artificial sweeteners, colours or flavours this is a very convenient solution for busy days - very easy to cook up a quick meal.

Feel Good Drinks , 2 x £1.20
We received two variants - a Water Infusion: still water with a hint of strawberry & mint which was lovely and a fruit juice drink - Orange, Mango & Water containing fruit juices from concentrate (Apple, Orange, Mango, Lemon, Carrot, Passionfruit, Acerola, Peach, Apricot). It was delicious.

Pulsin' Kids Orange Choc Chip Fruity Oat Bars, £0.59
A delicious and wholesome orange choc chip oat bars that are packed with gluten free oats, real fruit and other natural ingredients, making them the ideal snack for kids and even adults on the go. I do not like orange flavour in cookies or cakes, so Mr.H tried these. It is good, he said. An interesting texture but a tad bit too sweet for him. Kids will like it.

Vimto Millions Gift Jar, £2.99
Coming in a handy gift sized jars and with a distinctive Vimto flavour, these are highly addictive.

Nuttvia Breadsticks Snackpack, £1.70
Not tried this yet but the combination of breadsticks with chocolate and hazelnut spread sounds enticing.

Michel et Augustin cookies, £1.60
Absolutely scrumptious. We will be picking up bigger sized packs of these cookies.

Kabuto Noodles Thai Green Chicken Curry, £1.99
I like these Kabuto noodles, have tried some flavours from them. The one in the Degustabox was Thai Chicken Curry flavour so I passed it on to a friend and she said it was delicious. Lovely, spicy Asian flavours and the best thing - it is ready in minutes.

Pip's Real Hot Chocolate Coins, £1.50
Single servings of hot chocolate beautifully hand moulded and hand wrapped. Again this was Orange flavour so Mr.H tried it. Full marks for the lovely natural flavour.

Valfrutta Basmati Rice and Lentils, £2.29
Ready in 1 minute, this heat to eat rice and lentil dish made for a tasty meal. It is brand new to me and I am looking to try out their other offerings.

Lee Kum Kee Sauces, 2 x £0.85 each
Another new brand. There were two types of sauces included. I have passed this on to my friend who will be trying them out in meat dishes.

LoSalt - Free sample
With 66% less salt than regular table salt, this looks like a good alternative for those trying to reduce their salt intake. A nice inclusion in this month's box.

  1. I only recently unsubscribed from degustabox, I felt like it wasn’t value for money and that I could get the products cheaper if I purchased them myself, however I did enjoy the surprise of “what’s in the box”. This one looks fab, I’d loved to have got the misfortune cookies in one of my boxes!
