April 2017 Degustabox

It's Degustabox time again! We received the April Degustabox last week and as always it was fun to receive and open the box. Regular readers of the blog will know that we love the Degustabox subscription service. It is delicious fun!

Degustabox sends out a surprise food box every month. They carefully select products from big, small, new and well-known brands and send it to their subscribers towards the end of each month. The box costs £12.99 per month including delivery. But you can be assured that the box value always exceeds the price that you pay for the box. It is a lovely way to try out new food products. So without further ado, lets have a look at the contents of the April box.

  • Seabrook Crisps - Lattice Sea Salt & Black Pepper, £1.50-£1.99
    Very flavoursome. I loved this.
  • Nothing But - 2 flavours, 2 X £1.20
We have sampled most variants of Nothing But snacks and love them. They are an excellent alternative to the more traditional baked or fried snacks. With no added fat, sugar, salt, colour or preservatives these snacks are gluten-free, low calorie and suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
  • Whitworths Full Of Super - Vanilla Maca-roons, £1.50
Crammed with almonds, flakes of coconut, golden flax seeds and agave nectar, these gluten and soya free sweet treats were tasty.
  • Doisy & Dam - Quinoa, Smoked Tea and Vanilla Chocolate, £1.75
An unusual combination for a chocolate. According to the makers, this one is made by soaking nutty Bolivian popped quinoa in a secret smoky infusion, before combining it with smooth organic Dominican 39% milk chocolate.
  • ViPnuts in Hot Chilli, £1.25
One of my favourites from the April box. Loved the chilli kick in the variant we received.
  • Fentimans Pink Grapefruit Tonic Water,
My other favourite from the April box. I mixed it with Edgerton Pink Gin for a refreshing and zesty drink. Absolutely loved it.
  • CELIA Organic Lager, £2.49
100% organic and brewed using just three ingredients, CELIA Organic is a premium craft Czech lager. A chilled bottle with some roasted vegetables made for an amazing combo.
  • Garofalo Whole Wheat Penne Pasta, £2.19
Very nice in taste and texture, this Penne Ziti Rigate from Garofalo is made with unprocessed whole organic durum wheat. Pairs well with rich creamy sauces or thick tomato sauces.
  • Dorset Cereals Machu Picchu, £4.89
The machu picchu flavour is an adventurous Inca trail-inspired blend of oats and barley with brazil nuts, golden berries and a taste of coffee. Sounds adventurous? It tastes equally delicious as well.
  • GOOD HEMP Hemp Seed Hearts, £4.49
This is the only product from the box that I haven't used yet but it will be used. It is 100% natural and high in Protein, Fibre and Omega 3. So, quite healthy and I am looking to incorporate this in my breakfast.
  • POLO Sugar Free Pot, £1.49
Loved the sugar free version of Polo. And the handy pot size too!
