December 2016 Degustabox
Gifted | Affiliate

It is time for Degustabox on the blog. We always look forward to the monthly Degustabox and the December box was no exception. It was packed with delicious goodies. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Degustabox, here is some information about the concept. Degustabox is a monthly food subscription box. For just £12.99 per month (including shipping) you receive 10 - 15 food and drink items sent to your home - usually in the last week of each month. The price of the box is always much cheaper than the total retail price of all the items in the box making it a fun way to try out new food products. Let's see what was included in the December Degustabox.

Please note that as I received the box for review purposes, I was sent all the items from December's boxes. You would have received 1 or 2 items less than what is featured below.

  • Hoots Snacks - 2 x £0.69
  • Bite+ Multi Grain Flakes - 1 x £1.69
  • Bahlsen Lebkuchen Mischung - 1 x £1.99
  • Bahlsen Akora - 1 x £1.99
  • Nutri-Brex - 1 x £3.79
  • Oh Fudge! - 1 x £4.99
  • Maggi 3 Minute Noodles - 1 x £0.75
  • Gallo Risotto Box - 1 x £2.00
  • Gallo Expresso Risotto - 1 x £2.29
  • Newton's Appl Fizzics - 1 x £1.29
  • What A Melon - 1 x £2.00
  • Eisberg - 1 x £1.39
  • a2 Milk - 1 x £1.39

There are 5 flavours in the Hoots Snacks range and we received two - Salt & Pepper and Salt & Vinegar. Hoots snacks are baked not fried and contain no preservatives, artificial colours or flavours. We loved these multigrain snacks. They were well seasoned and delicious. Bite+ multigrain flakes looked similar to cereal but were savoury like crisps - a nice concept but I haven't warmed up to the idea yet. There were two products from Bahlsen - Mischung (assortment of gingerbread pieces) and Akora (traditional German heart shaped goodies) - both were yummy and were festive themed. There was a box of Nutri-Brex gluten-free crispy rice biscuits with coconut and cinnamon flavour and one box of very delicious fudge in Apple and Cinnamon flavour from Oh Fudge! The fudge was absolutely yummy.

Two products from Gallo - Risotto Box and Expresso Risotto - both of which I enjoyed for their convenience and flavour. Also included was a Maggi 3 minute noodles pot.

A carton of a2 milk made it way to the box. Unlike regular milk this one is naturally free from the A1 protein which can trigger symptoms associated with lactose intolerance. And to round up there were three drinks - What A Melon, a small bottle of Eisberg alcohol free wine and Newton's Appl Fizzics (which was very refreshing).

So that was the December Degustabox. We have used up all the things except for the a2 milk and Nutri-Brex which will find use in the new year. If you liked the contents of the box and/or the concept of Degustabox and want to try out the box yourself, then simply click on the image below to place your order. For all new orders (fist box orders) you will get a one time discount of £7.00 making your first box only £5.99. And shipping is included in that price!
