October 2016 Degustabox

It's Degustabox time. Last week we received the October Degustabox (named as Autumn Box). For those of you who are not familiar with Degustabox, let me share some information about the box.

Degustabox is a monthly food subscription box. For £12.99 per month (including shipping) you receive 10 - 15 food and drink items sent to your home - usually in the last week of each month. The price of the box is always much cheaper than the total retail price of all the items included in the box making it a fun and economical way to try out new food products. If you love food and you also love surprises, then this box is for you. Let's see what was in the October Degustabox.

Maggi Fusian Noodles - Fiery Sweet Chilli & Aromatic Spiced Curry, £1.39 each

Authentic tasty spices, infused oil and veggies and ready in only four minutes - these were the star products of this month's box. I loved both the flavours, the fiery sweet chilli being especially more yummy.

Yushoi Snapea Rice Sticks, £1.99

We love Yushoi products. I have tried all their flavours and this is a regular in my shopping list. So, I was happy to see a pack of Snapea in this month's box.

Levi Roots Smokey BBQ Coat 'n Cook, £1.00

An instant marinade with bold flavours, I haven't used this pack yet but again this is a product I have used earlier and liked.

Brioche Pasquier Pitch Choco Bar, £1.40

A new offering from Brioche Pasquier - a delicious brioche roll filled with a smooth milk chocolate bar! Yes, a full stick of chocolate. Tip: Warm these slightly before eating - it melts the chocolates and makes it tastier.

Robinsons Squash'd Orange, £2.49

A super concentrated portable squash which helps to make drinking water more exciting! I haven't used this one yet but I have tried Robinsons Squash'd earlier, so I know how they taste. A little expensive but good to have in your travel bag.

JimJams 83% Less Sugar Milk Chocolate Spread, £2.59

Another sweet treat, this chocolate spread from JimJams has 83% less sugar making it a yummy guilt free spread. Tastes amazing on toast.

Hershey's Cookies 'n' Creme, £1.00

Cookies and cream - need I say more? This was very moreish and was gone as soon as I finished photographing.

Heinz Kid's Dry Pasta Shapes, £1.19 and Heinz Kid's Pasta Sauce, £1.55

Kids will love this fun pasta. Made with 50% whole wheat, these are perfect alongside the smooth pasta sauce also included in this month's box.

Beloved Date Fruit Hearts, 75p each

There were four flavours of these date treats - Rich Cocoa, Cocoa & Berry, Original (Simply Divine) and Zesty Orange. Loved the packaging and the heart shaped fruit treats inside. Made from 100% dates with a hint of 100% natural orange, cocoa or cocoa berry, these fruit hearts were yummy. If you like dates, you will love these.

Souper - Supergreens + Pulled Pork & Jalapenos, £1.49

I was excited to see these 2 packs of high protein soups. And then I realised only one of them is vegetarian. We passed on the Pulled Pork one to a friend while we sampled the Supergreens.  Low in fat but high in protein with no artificial flavours or preservatives, the soup was filling. An easy tasty meal when you are short on time. I wish they come up with more vegetarian versions.
