The New Stellar Rocktanium Fry Pan

Non-stick cookware has come a long way since it was first invented. Newer models are more safer and ergonomic to use. Stellar recently launched a new non-stick frying pan collection called 'Rocktanium'.

I have used Stellar products in the past and have always been impressed with their build quality. So, when the Rocktanium range came out, I was keen to try it out.

The new Stellar Rocktanium fry pan collection uses a revolutionary new titanium-based formula called 'Quantanium' and is free from PFOA making it much safer to use. Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) is a chemical that is very commonly used to make PTFE in non-stick cookware and according to research has the potential to be a health concern. That is why in recent times we have seen the emergence of 'green' or 'healthy cookware' that are free from PTFE and PFOA.

In addition to being PFOA free, the Rocktanium pans have a distinctive stone finish non-stick coating that is scratch-resistant and guaranteed to last for an impressive five years. These new pans have been created from thick aluminium which ensures even heat distribution. The pans are suitable for use on any kind of hob (including induction). The riveted handle is ergonomic and remains cool even when the pan is in use.

I have been using the pan for a few weeks now and have been impressed. Works nicely on the electric hob, is quite light-weight (even though the stone finish imparts an impression that it might be heavy) and is very easy to clean by hand. The pans are dishwasher safe too.

The Rocktanium range (5 sizes: 20/24/26/28/30cm) is yet another good collection from Stellar. The pans combine cooking convenience with style and durability.

Prices start from £25.00 for a 20cm pan. More information can be found here: www.stellarcookware.co.uk
