Ted Baker’s Sweet Treats purse spray collection sees a new addition this Spring - Lyla. Ted Baker describes the new scent as: "With an enchanting elegance and infectious allure Lyla combines fruity top notes of Bergamot, Grapefruit and Peach with soft floral extracts of Jasmine and Rose and an enticing base of Amber, Sandalwood, Vanilla and Musk."

Ted Baker's Sweet Treat EDT Lyla

Sweet treats

The fragrance comes in a handy 10ml bottle just like the others in the Sweet Treats collection. But the new scent has undergone a change in terms of the outer packaging. Instead of the triangular packaging, it now comes in a standard rectangular white box with a lovely rose gold detailing. The fragrance bottle has a frosty while colour that fades to clear as it reaches the top. The lid design is also unchanged and has a faceted lid in rose gold. The packaging is absolutely lovely and makes it look very luxurious and expensive.

The scent is fruity and sweet. The top fruity notes stand out on initial application and after a while the scent settles down to the base notes of Musk and Sandalwood. Musk seems to be dominant base scent in my opinion. I like it. In terms of longevity, it lasts around 4-5 hours on me. Considering that Lyla is an EDT and not an EDP, I am okay with the staying power.

Final word

To sum it up, I like the fragrance and even though it doesn't last all day long on me, I still happily carry it around with me. The packaging is lovely and Lyla is an excellent choice for a handbag fragrance. Priced at £15 for 10ml, Lyla is available exclusively at some selected Ted Baker stores right now but will be launching in Boots stores across the UK in Spring. Not a long wait. Less than 2 weeks to go!

What do you think of Lyla? Have you tried any of Ted Baker's Sweet Treats purse sprays?
