I couldn't agree more with that statement. Flowers definitely make me very calm and relaxed. Just gazing at a beautiful bouquet of flowers lifts my spirits. It is no wonder that I always tend to pick up a bouquet from my local Tesco. Whether it is roses, lilies and tulips or a bunch of wild flowers, I love them all.
Recently I had the opportunity to review a beautiful bouquet of flowers from Serenata Flowers - a first on the blog. Serenata Flowers are an online florist based in London and deliver fresh flowers in the UK. All the bouquets come in a range of sizes and prices, so you are sure to find one to your liking. The bouquet that I received was named Mrs Claus and yes, it arrived right on time for Christmas.
I received an email and a text once the order was placed and the flowers arrived the next day - perfectly boxed up, wrapped in clear cellophane and in excellent condition. One of the main reasons I never gave online flower ordering a go was due to my scepticism as to how the condition of the flowers would be when they are sent through courier/post. I need not have worried because the flowers from Serenata came intact and fresh. There was also a small sachet of flower food attached to the bunch of flowers. The first thing that hit me when I opened the box was the burst of colours. This Christmas style bouquet included gorgeous red lilies, roses, alstroemeria, chrysanthemums and gold glittered gypsophila. The alstroemeria and lilies had not yet opened up fully, but everything looked beautiful nonetheless. After 3-4 days the lilies opened up and the fragrance was so lovely and distinct. The gold glittered gypsophila added an overall festive touch to the bouquet.

The flowers lasted long as well. It is 14 days since I received the flowers and I have only had to remove the roses and all bar one of the lilies. All the other flowers are going strong. The flower food sachet came in handy and I changed the water many times to keep the flowers fresher for longer :)
Overall, I loved the flowers(in all aspects - quality, freshness and packaging) and the customer service from Serenata as well. Serenata has a lovely high-end bouquet range and also an equally nice mid-priced bouquet range. Best of all, they even offer flowers in the £10 range and this is something that I will definitely be looking at for my regular home use.
