The Shaken Udder Milkshakes - No Artificial Colours, Flavours or Preservatives

Last week I was sent some milkshakes from Shaken Udder. The package consisted of 3 flavours: Chocolate, Vanilla and Banana. I love milkshakes though am a bit choosy about the flavours. Mr.H on the other hand is not a fan of milkshakes - he is in fact not a big milk lover. He does have milk with tea/coffee but that's about it. On the other hand I can enjoy a cup of warm milk anytime of the day. With such different preferences, we went about trialling the samples we received.

The Shaken Udder range of milkshakes is made from fresh British milk. Rather than using artificial flavours and colours, the range uses some of the finest ingredients available such as Belgian chocolate,  real Bananas, finest Vanilla beans and fresh Strawberries(for one of the flavours in the Kids range). The milkshakes are free from artificial colours/flavourings and preservatives.

The milkshakes have less than 5% added sugar and are also a good source of Calcium - perfect for growing children. Apart from Calcium the milkshakes are fortified with Vitamin B2(Riboflavin) and Vitamin B12. They are also gluten free and suitable for vegetarians. The Chocolate milkshake(Chocolush!) is made with Belgian chocolate and though not very thick had a lovely taste and is perfect to satisfy chocolate cravings. The Banana milkshake(Top Banana!) contains 5% Banana puree and also Pumpkin and Apple concentrate. It tasted yummy and subtly fruity. The third flavour that we tried was the Vanilla Milkshake(Vanillalicious!)which contains real vanilla seeds and felt like liquid vanilla ice-cream. And I mean that in a nice way :-) Of the 3 flavours the chocolate one was by far my favourite - perfect sweetness and a lovely aftertaste. Mr.H surprisingly loved the Banana milkshake for its subtle taste.

The milkshakes are available to purchase from Ocado, Waitrose, Sainsbury's and Tesco. You can also purchase them online at www.shakenudder.com where a case of 8 milkshake bottles is priced at £14.00. The online shop also has Shaken Udder hoodies and T-shirts.

Final word: I make milkshakes at home very frequently, but these ones from Shaken Udder are perfect for times when you are travelling - easy to carry and quite filling. I am sure adults and children will enjoy them alike.
