After skin care, my next major area of interest is hair care. Having lived with frizzy hair and a dry scalp for most of my life, I always wished for manageable and smoother hair. I had my hair straightened last year and while that made my hair relatively frizz free and smooth, it also made my scalp oily. Now, both me and Mr.H have oily scalps :) We both recently put some Fushi hair care products to test. We tried out the Balance & Lift Herbal Shampoo and the Stimulate & Balance Herbal Conditioner.

The Balance Lift Herbal Shampoo(250ml, £12.50) is a herbal formulation that is designed to revitalise and cleanse the scalp gently. It is used to balance normal to greasy hair types. It works perfectly well for both Mr.H and me. The shampoo contains Witch Hazel which is known for its astringent properties. It also has Lime and Cedarwood that help to tone and refresh the scalp. I love the fragrance - feels so fresh and clean. The shampoo despite being a herbal preparation lathers well and since it contains Peppermint, Bergamot and Grape Seed Oil it also helps to balance the sebum production thereby ensuring that you hair stays fresh and non greasy for longer. Overall, a lovely shampoo for greasy hair.

The Stimulate & Balance Herbal Conditioner(250ml, £16.00) has similar ingredients as the shampoo in addition to Sandalwood and Sunflower Oil. Both these ingredients act as a light protective seal on the hair leaving it glossy without weighing it down. I have always used a conditioner in my hair care routine, but Mr. H always stayed away from conditioners because they usually tend to make his hair greasy quickly. But even he was pleased with this herbal conditioner as it gave a healthy feel to the hair without weighing it down.

If you have greasy hair, give both these products a go. They may be pricier than normal shampoos/conditioners, but provide excellent care. Hair feels and looks good and smells wonderful as well.

  1. I've tried their hair oil and really like it so I'll have to check out their shampoo and conditioner range as I'm running low and their fragrance sounds so nice.

    1. I haven't tried their hair oil, but looking at the quality of the shampoo and conditioner, I am sure it must be equally good.
