Vegesentials - UK’s 1st Raw Fruit and Vegetable Juice and Smoothie Range

Today I bring to you a relatively new range of UK based vegetable and fruit drinks - Vegesentials. This family run setup was started by Patience Arinaitwe-Mugadu and her husband Dr Andrew Mugadu to bridge the gap in the market for a healthy, raw vegetable drink. What sets Vegesentials apart from other such drinks is that they use non-thermal high-pressure pasteurization (HPP) to maximise the retention of nutrients in the drinks. Vegesentials also do not use any pre-packed purees, added sugar, water, extracts/additives, powders or concentrates making their drinks healthy and packed with natural goodness.

There is a story behind the setting up of Vegesentials. A change in the dietary lifestyle following a health scare led to the creation of healthy and nutritious fruity veg drinks by Patience. Word soon spread about Patience's healthy vegetable and fruit drinks. The popularity and demand for her drinks resulted in Patience and her husband Andrew incorporating Vegesentials officially in February 2012. Vegesentials was launched as UK’s first Raw Vegetable Drink Brand and the first Fruity Vegetable Smoothie Brand at the "Taste of London Festival" in June 2012. Finally you could now find raw fruit and vegetable drinks on the supermarket shelf.

Vegesentials is available for adults and for kids as well. The adult drinks range includes:
- Celery, Apple and Kale Juice
- Beetroot, Pomegranate and Carrot Juice
- Carrot, Peach and Cucumber Smoothie
- Carrot, Mango and Parsnip Smoothie
- Cucumber, Pineapple and Spinach Smoothie
- Beetroot, Blueberry and Cucumber Smoothie

The kids range includes:
- Cool Cucumber and Pineapple Smoothie
- Groovy Beet and Strawberry Juice
- Cheeky Carrot and Peach Juice

Interesting combinations of fruits and veggies isn't it? The best part about these drinks is undoubtedly their raw earthy taste. When I tasted it for the first time, I was drawn to its natural taste. It felt like I was drinking freshly made drink without any artificial flavours or sweeteners. The choice/blend of fruits and vegetables in each drink is excellent. The fruits and veggies complement each other well and the flavours are wonderful. My favourites were the Carrot, Peach and Cucumber Smoothie and the Beetroot, Blueberry and Cucumber Smoothie. I have had these for more than a week replacing my regular breakfast drink with these and I must say I feel good. These drinks taste great and are packed with natural goodness. I would recommend that you give them a try if you are looking for healthy nutritious drinks.

What I liked about Vegesentials?
- The drinks from Vegesentials are naturally rich in nutrients.
- Each 250ml bottle contains at least 50% of vegetables.
- There are no added additives, sugar, concentrates or water. It is 100% pure raw juice - fresh and wholesome.

Availability:
Vegesentials can be purchased from Ocado, Booths, Whole Foods Market, Planet Organic, Partridges, Irma and the John Lewis Food Hall in Oxford Street. Vegesentials will be available at all Waitrose Stores nationwide from 17th March 2014.
