Founded in 1984, Amphora Aromatics is one UK's biggest supplier of pure essential oils and aromatherapy essentials. Whether you are looking for essential oils or aromatherapy kits, fragrances or base products or ready to use creams and gels, you will find it all at Amphora Aromatics. I was recently sent some Amphora Aromatic products to trial and today I am sharing my views on the first product: Amphora Aromatics Borage Oil Cream.

Borage (also known as Starflower), a native of the Mediterranean region, has been traditionally grown for medicinal uses. It is one of the best plant sources of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). If you have been following my blog, you must have read my review on the Starflower(Borage) Oil supplement I use for regulation of the hormonal system. Borage Oil is also excellent for the skin. When applied topically it is helpful in restoring moisture and smoothness to both dry and damaged skin.

The Borage Oil Cream from Amphora Aromatics also contains Aloe Vera, Lavender Essential Oil and Chamomile Roman Essential Oil, thereby making it even more soothing and moisturising. If you suffer from dry or chapped skin, this cream is for you. The cream was put to test by Mr. H who has very dry skin that only tends to go worse during winters. The cream has a nice, smooth consistency and gets absorbed easily. The cream has a herbal/medicinal kind of fragrance when in the pot. However, upon application the fragrance is barely discernible, which is good. Having used the cream for sometime, Mr.H is pleased with the moisturisation that the cream provides. It has kept the dry areas hydrated without any noticeable greasiness. Overall, he is happy with the cream. If you have dry skin issues, then you could give this cream a try.

Priced at £4.80 for a 60ml pot, the Borage Oil Cream and other skin and body care products from Amphora Aromatics can be picked up online at www.amphora-retail.com
