After the age of 30, collagen in the skin diminishes and our skin needs a helping hand. Here is where Face Matters comes to the rescue. Face Matters, launched in 2012, is a collection of five skincare products all containing organic silicon to help stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. The product range also includes super active botanical oils specially chosen for their anti ageing properties as key ingredients. In December I was very kindly sent the Face Matters skincare range to test. And here I am today with my thoughts on the range.

The product range includes:
- All Day Spritz
- Anytime Cleanser
- Morning Moisture
- 24/7 Balm
- Evening Elixir

The prices of the products range from £30.00 to £85.00 making it a luxury product range. The packaging is elegant and classy what one would expect from a high-end brand. I especially loved the tall and slender glass bottles of the spritz and the cleanser.

Let me start with the All Day Spritz(£40, 100ml), because (as you know) I love facial spritzes :) They are soothing and refreshing, perfect for reviving dull, tired skin. I absolutely loved the packaging of this product. This has to be one of the best facial spray bottles I have ever laid my eyes on. According to Face Matters website, this spritz is an intensive and innovative pure mineral silicon spritz to stimulate the production of collagen. Wow! A spray that stimulates collagen production. How nice is that? I have been spraying it over my face and neck at least 2-3 times a day. Spray and they gently pat it in. It gets absorbed immediately leaving the skin looking fresh and supple. Love it.

The Anytime Cleanser(£30.00, 100ml) which is packaged similar to the Spritz is a very gentle foaming cleanser. It contains blends of Aloe, Argan and pure organic Silicon to cleanse without drying. I have combination-sensitive skin and this one was safe to use. It was gentle on my skin and did its job well. Mr.H who has dry acne-prone skin also tried it and he felt that it kind of soothed and calmed his skin.

I love face creams. Morning Moisture(£50,50g) is a light, daily moisture cream that ticks all the right boxes. It is non-greasy and has a light-weight texture. It gets absorbed easily and keeps the skin moisturised for the most part of the day. And it has a Rose/Jasmine fragrance!! Love it. Looks like this cream was made for me. It has kept my skin soft and supple in these cold months. Recommend it.

The 24/7 Balm(£45, 50g) is a multi-functional luxury balm. You can use it as a gentle nourishing cleanser, for an effective exfoliation; or simply as a restorative face mask. I love products that have multiple uses. I so wanted to love this balm, but for some reason I am not liking the fragrance. I wish it was scented just like Morning Moisture. That said, the balm is effective. Does all the jobs that it claims.

And last but definitely not the least is the Evening Elixir(£85, 30ml). This one is an awesome product especially for those who have maturing skin. My skin has responded very happily to this elixir. I love the packaging, the golden colour and the fact that the Elixir is a potent blend of botanical oils and pure organic collagen-boosting silicon. The fragrance is lovely and uplifting. Regular usage has left my skin feeling smooth, soft and very rehydrated. This is the most expensive product in the range. However you need very little of the product for each application and it should last a good few months.

Overall, I loved the range; especially the Spritz, Morning Moisture and the Elixir. I wish that the Spritz came in small travel-friendly size as well.

What do you think of this product range? Have you tried it?

  5. Erica: Even I love the new packaging. Looks gorgeous.

Lisa: Other than the balm which I did not like the fragrance of, the rest were good. I especially loved the floral fragrance of Morning Moisture. They definitely are a luxury brand, agree on that point.
