I am a lip balm girl. My lips are naturally dry and I always use a lip balm to keep them moisturised and supple. A new range of Organic Lip Balms recently hit the market. The fact that Dr Bronner's made these lip balms was enough to make me want to try them. The Magic Lip Balms are based on organic beeswax and have been scented using only Fair trade organic essential oils and contain no synthetic ingredients or preservatives. The lip balms contain organic Jojoba, Avocado and Hemp oils for extra moisturisation.
The most striking feature of these lip balms is undoubtedly their smooth application. Right from the first use, they went on smoothly on the lips. It is not very thick but leaves a nice rich coating on the lips. It is easy to apply and lasts a good couple of hours on my lips.
There are 4 flavours available: Lemon-Lime, Orange Ginger, Peppermint and Naked. I tried out the first three. Lemon-Lime has a very mild fragrance and I like it that way. I like scents that are not overpowering and Lemon-Lime perfectly fits the bill. Orange Ginger has a fragrance very close to 'real' oranges and ginger. It feels like a festive fragrance and very apt for the season. Peppermint, as you may have guessed, has a typical minty smell. It is thankfully not very strong. Just about perfect with a mild, pleasant fragrance and a slight tingle on application. Mr. H picked it up for himself as soon as he laid his eyes on it :) I like the Lemon-Lime variant the most of the three though.
